In all the thousands of words written about 9/11 and how it affected air travel (and, it seems, everything else), I don't think I have ever read a word about people I think endured a particular type of sorrow that day: the ramp agents who scanned boarding passes and closed the doors on those aircraft. They were the last to see the passengers and crew alive, and I have always thought that that memory must be especially painful when the see the faces of the victims. Does anyone know anything about them, and where any articles on them can be found?
