I know this sounds stupid, but for some stupid reason I have this fear of large boat propellers. When I went on the Queen Mary in December there was a part of the hull cut out where you actually walk outside of the hull and you get to see the 12foot prop! I was like a little kid-I was kinda freaked out to see that immense prop. It was supposed to be turning, but wasn't. I can only imagine those poor soldiers who got sucked into them when she t-boned that ship in WW2.
Also, did anyone else see Speed 2 ,when they are jet-skiing off the back of that cruise ship-I could never do that. Does anyone else get freaked out by this ??

Just curious, do you have a fobia (sp?) of the props on a regional airplane?

I can somewhat understand, when I watched Titanic, it was crazy to see the people jump from the deck of the ship and hit those huge fan blades. Ouch!

Yeah, I don't like looking at propellers, either. Only on boats, though. I don't mind stationary or moving turboprops on planes, though...

Just another one of my funny things.

At least I'm not the only one. Small boats (under 50') don't seem to bother me for some dumb f'in reason.

Curious that. I've always been interested in what a boat or ship looks like beneath the waterline... Just one of those things I suppose...
