Should Troop Levels In Afghanistan Be Raised?

After Saturday when 8 U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan, because the were overwhelmed by militants, I don't see how we don't increase troop levels. Some estimates are calling for at leat 40,000 more troops, I think it should be more. During operation Desert Storm, we had at least 6-7 times more troops waiting in Saudi desert to protect our oil interests. We need to raise troop levels to go after these guys who attacked us and try to end this war once and for all. For those who think that the war there is pointless and we should leave, do you really want America and it's allies to lose this war? Because nothing good will happen if we leave.

If Obama really wanted to lead and change history he'd get out there and urge young Americans who can't find jobs to join aid organizations and engineering teams that will be needed to turn the hearts and minds battle in Afghanistan into something winnable. The military can't do it alone.

No. Even 8 years too late, it's important to finish. Forget about how we were distracted by the last one, some things just don't go away. This fight is one of those things.

That is an excellent idea.

Do you want me to do an internet search for military recruiters in your area? Here's your chance to put your plan into action.

BTW, a little horn tooting.
