How about a little fun here:

If airplanes were cars, what plane would be what car?

Why do you feel the way you do?

Here are some of my choices:

Boeing 737 (series 300-900)

Would definitely be a Honda Civic.

Reliable, simple to operate, and are very common.

Douglas DC-3

Would have to be an original Volkswagen Beetle.

Sheer brilliance of design, easy to maintain, lasted for generations, built in mass numbers, first vehicle for countless operators.

Boeing 717

Mazda Miata or BMW Z3

Small hot rod. 'Nuff said.

Boeing 707

'65 Chevelle

Built like a tank. Will "smoke" just about anything out there before or since.

BMW's definitely look like Airbuses. Also the 757-200 always reminds me of a BMW 3er.

Not in the least partial there are you TurbineBeaver? I mean really, how could you insult Boeings in that manner?

Quit calling an airport ramp "Tarmac" and a taxiway "runway".

For those simpson fans out there, the An-225 would be the Canyonero, the SUV too large to fit in a road lane.
