No Bears this week. (They really need the time though) I'm rooting for the Patriots today because I want the Kyle Orton loving clowns to go away, at least for a week.

SKOL Vikings!

Favre is performing better than I expected. I just hope we are ready for the Ravens next week.

I have spent most of my life in Chicago and I am still not a bears fan. Weird?

BTW i just watched some highlights from the CLE-BUF game and it was pretty funny.

Bengals win again over a division rival in the last minute of play on a touchdown to win 17-14, then an interception in the last 3 seconds to seal the deal. What a game! Sloppy, but a win's a win. I just wish the Bengals would win an easy one and stop giving me heart attacks at the end of every game.

And the Giants won handily over Oakland today 44-7. Huge shock there.

Bengals: 4-1
Giants: 5-0.
 bigthumbsup

Oh, Boston Red Sox lost. Now if the Yankees can win tonight, it will be the perfect day.  wink

I loved seeing the Raiders get walked on. And half of this while facing a QB who's got plantar fasciitis.

Well, I guess this year's toilet bowl was a little earlier than ususal. Adam Shein of Foxsports.com even dubbed this one as the toilet bowl, and it lived (or died, depending on how you look at it) up to its name!

Darrick Anderson: 2/17, 23 yds, int?? Dude, that makes Roethlisberger's performance in Super Bowl XL look MVP worthy!!

Speaking of Ben, nice to see the Steelers beat Detroit without Polamalu. I guess if he was playing today at full strength, the score would've been a lot more lobsided than that.  Wink

Been looks good wtih 8 TDs and only 5 ints. Harrison is really coming alive now. He's up to 6 sacks for the season.

As of right now, it looks like the AFC North could be one of the better divisions this year, with the exception of the Browns, of course. I am rather shocked that the Bengals are 4-1 right now...

And honestly with a little last-second reversal of fortune there in their only loss they could have been 5-0...wow.

Happy the Pats lost to the Broncos in OT...was it just me or did Belichick just get Belichicked by his old assistant?

And tonight's matchup: Indy at Tennessee. Go Colts!

Great. Now the Chargers have to play a 5-0 Denver next week... at least the game will be in SD.

Yup...

I do have to say that the Bengals' 4-1 (almost 5-0) start has to be the most surprising win-loss stat this season. Many think TE's winless start is, but not to me IMO...

I sure hope Polamalu will be back next week. I know it's only the Browns next Sunday, but if even the Lions could [almost] come back and steal the game, the defense is misfiring in there somewhere. They need Polamalu back. Without him, even a pee-wee team could have a chance at beating the Steelers. My 2 cents...

And in that 4-1, the Bengals are 3-0 in the AFC North, meaning they're guaranteed a split with each team at 1-1, at worst. I just wish the Bengals would be winning by 4 touchdowns with 10 minutes left to go for once, instead of always winning (or losing) in the last 30 seconds.

Next week the Bengals play the Texans at home in Cincinnati. I hope this is an easy win for the Bengals but we shall see. Sadly I won't be able to watch the game because I will be at Cedar Point. I'll just get score updates when I can.

The undefeated Giants will play the undefeated Saints, who had a bye this week. One team will get their first loss of the season - hopefully NO.

I dunno... I would think that the team coming off the bye will be well-rested and more healthy than the team that has yet to have their bye. Of course, any team can win any game...

Hey, at least you'll be someplace fun. I have to work during the Steelers-Browns game...

I'm going to root for Bret Favre and his Vikings next week tho. They're facing the Ravens, with whom the Steelers are tied. If the Steelers can beat Cleveland and the Vikes beat Baltimore, then the Steelers will be a game behind Cincy and in lone possession of 2nd place in the AFC North, providing the Bengals beat Houston next week...

I don't know about the Saints but historically, the Giants have always done worse in the season coming out of the bye week. Just seems to be a loss of momentum for them. With the ease that the Giants had beating Oakland, it might as well have been a bye week without the loss of that winning momentum.

Quoting FuturePilot16 (Reply 12):
Bengals win

Yes they did!    And to think the Bengals would be on the list of undefeated teams (instead of Denver) had it not been for that fluke catch by Denver at the end of the game in Week 1 that allowed the Broncos to win.

Hmm... that may be. There are teams that tend to get rusty after being well-rested...

Oh, and PLEASE somebody give me a link to any video of the Browns/Bills highlights! I've been reading the posts on the Browns/Bills message boards, and it's really making me want to see just how pathetic that game was! How can a qb manage to make a shameful, dismal, laughable 2 completions, not even going for more than 25 yards, and STILL WIN?!!

Others probably pounded their heads against the wall, mainly Browns, but especially the Bills fans, but I would've laughed myself into cardiac arrest probably had I seen any of it...

What a drubbing the 49ers got today!

Well, someone finally exposed what Shaun Hill really is, a good backup QB. Atlanta showed that one could dink and dunk his way to a few wins, but not for long, and not against a good team with a solid QB. You can win a championship without a rifle arm QB (Joe Montana, Tom Brady), but you can't win one with a no arm QB, i.e. Shaun Hill. I strongly believe that Shaun Hill can give you a 8-8, 9-7 year in year out consistently, but no further than that. He just has no arm strength whatsoever. I hope coach Singletary'd draft a decent starting QB out of next year draft.

- Did Eli play the entire game? I thought I read somewhere that he was taken out of the game because of his foot and because they were winning.

As said before the Giants embarrassed the Raiders. I am really liking these young receivers the Giants have! I was a bit concerned about the WR position at the start of the season but not anymore.

Oh and how ugly were those Broncos uniforms!

Eli played until right before halftime.

Um, wow!! Cleveland's special teams are actually dynomite! After watching that highlight, I saw about 3 punts put not inside the 5, but around the 1 FOOT mark!!!

Now if only they had an offense and defense to complement them!!!

You would be assuming that an NFL game that ends in a final score of 6-3 would have "highlights" to begin with.  wink

Eli was taken out early after the Giants obtained an early, substantial lead (21 or 28 points or so).

There actually were! See my above post in reply number 20. Oh, and I wonder if there is a record for the shortest highlights reel. They just skipped the entire game pretty much and went right into the 4th quarter... The whole thing didn't even last a minute...
