Need Help With Projection TV Buy

I will be buying a projection TV tonight. I need help on which to purchase. My budget is 1,300 dollars and I am looking in the 50-52" range. I can't find any sites that provide comparisons against other models, like a consumer review. Please help me with this time is limited.

For $1300 you aren't going to find much. Just looking at Circuit City's website they have 3 models available in that price range, a RCA, Hitachi and a Sony.

They have some info in their buyer's guide section that maybe helpful. Otherwise you are going to have to go to the store and actually look at it and see if you like the picture or not. For about the same money you could get a Sony Trinitron Wega 32"... not a bad TV.

hey Tech.....I found the best buy to be at Conn's.
I put a 71" toshiba in my game room last month.

Toshiba/Hitachi/Sony are all fairly reasonable picture-wise. Stay away from Samsung.

It' up to you if your gonna pay the extra $$$ to have HDTV or HDTV ready.

I bought a 50" Toshiba for 1299.95 at Conn's as you suggested Greg, they are very professional with great delivery and setup.
