There have been some previous threads on this, but I found that I could not reply to them to report my results.

So my test units became operational by ORD yesterday. Here's the results:



That's the initial network, and I know they intend to make it faster (mainly a matter of adding more trunks to the towers.) They do need to add more coverage, but Clear got a big cash infusion yesterday so that'll hopefully happen soon.

Technically that is not much faster than my 3G mobile USB modem. But I nonetheless am looking forward to 4G making really fast internet available everywhere around town i.e. making my home connection obsolete.

EAA3, the technology is capable of at least an order of magnitude greater speed, but they are probably chiefly concerned with coverage at the moment.
