Quoting YYZflyer (Reply 7): Me with Chris Bowes, singer/keyboardest of Alestorm. He's VERY drunk
We (kinda) met him! Myself and a few friends went to a gig, and saw him. We were fairly drunk at the time too and shouted "IT'S CHRIS FROM ALESTORM!" at him. He gave us an odd look which brought us down to earth. "Ohhh Chris from Alestorm hates us"
On the other hand we did meet the guitarist/ex-bassist and got a photo with him, as well as the frontman of Viking Metal band they were touring with, Týr.
Anyway, here's me (on the left) and fellow a.net photographers and members DunaA320 (md:photography) and chris78cpr (C.S. Photography) on a night out in London.

First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

Nice, I'll be seeing Týr in January with Korpiklaani, so hopefully I can meet both of them.
A similar picture....with Helmuth, singer/guitarist of Belphegor.

Heri and the guys from Týr are extremely nice and will usually bend over backwards to spend time with the fans. They even post on their own web forum, great guy to have a conversation with.

Myself and a friend had got hold of two Faroese flags in preparation for a gig they were playing in Milton Keynes. We were standing in the queue with the flags singing "The Edge" and he tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to see him walking off with a thumbs up and a smile. My friend didn't notice.
A bit later on he took one of our flags off us and used it on stage, then after the gig he came out and spoke to us. He was susprised we had managed to get hold of the flags, and was even more surprised we got them off ebay! I've got a pic of me with him and the flag but I look about 12, so I'm not going to post it!

This is a pic from about 3 weeks ago. A friend of mine in San Diego is an aspiring photographer and so we went down town and played with the camera for a bit.
