And most movies that came out of Hollywood with huge budgets, big special effects, lots of noise and not much else.

Plus, in case they don't fall in the aforementioned category, any action movie with Brendan Fraser.

Twilight is in a category of its own in terms of mediocrity, but then it was always a movie exclusively designed for horny teenage schoolgirls.

The sad thing is, more often than not, they do make money, especially Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy (at least before "Pluto Nash." THAT was a turd.).

Quoting FLY2HMO (Reply 6):

Anything from Disney, except for Wall-e and Pirates of the Caribbean

"Up" and "Ratatouille" were good Disney movies from this decade, and the only good "Pirates" movie was the first one, and that one was a 7 at best.

Thank you. I've always hated Michael Bay and he destroyed one of my favorite cartoons/toys from my childhood.

It what Americans want. We want flashy CGI and big explosions. Screw plot or any meaningful message in a film.

Quoting Solnabo (Reply 12):

Saw 1-6

The first "Saw" I liked a lot, the 2nd was pretty good because of the variety of storylines, and "Saw III" was passable because Jigsaw and Amanda were still around. After that, they blew.

The biggest let down for me was "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Lame concept, average acting and directing. I was dissapointed as Cate Blanchett tends to make better choices

I thought the twilight movie was OK, kind of "middle of the pack" stuff. I find it suprising that people are so avidly for or against these movies, (although I haven't seen the latest one)
