Thought that I'd introduce myself. I'm a petrol, diesel and marine engineer from Perth WA. Lived on a boat for 5 yeas but now remarried and rekindled my interest in aviation after an international custody battle (keeps the wife happy as she thinks I won't get another boat.. Little does she know). I have worked on one aircraft after a little "Boo boo" I made where I hooked the tug up to the wrong place and was made to pull the nose gear out by the engineers. To quote Homer Simpson...."Doh"...Metroliner,,Air ambo..

And if I win the lottery Boeng 727 is me

Welcome on board, V8surf! And a happy Christmas to you; I'm sure it's a lot more pleasant there, weatherwise, than it is here.

Welcome to the happy world of A.net and hope you enjoy it!

I have been enjoying the pics for quite some time, and not been enjoying the fact that the damn thing breaks down on the way home,,,But always fly on a Boeing aircraft as I know I'll get to where I want to go without falling out of the sky

Welcome Aboard V8!

Might be in your neck of the woods sometime in April for a motorcycle holiday, my third trip "Down Unda"! Kinda like the place!

OUCH! Just how did you manage that mate?

Happy Christmas,

Welcome aboard V8surf. But a word of warning, you have just made enemies out of the Airbus Cheerleader Squad.

Be careful of this Non Aviation forum... it gets brutal out here. Just watch what you say when it comes to politics and religion, and when it all gets on your nerves, just remember there's a Civil Aviation thread! (I often forget when I'm in the heat of debate and get frustrated beyond belief)

Welcome!

Ironically I have never flown a Delta MD-90 :)

If it's a Boeing I'm still going, but if it's an Airbus is a very big plus ( comfort, safety etc.)
Welcome aboard btw  Smile

Nah. He's new here, so unlike you, he's not yet a lost cause. We still have time to talk sense into him  devil

Perhaps, but as it is (today), everwhere I want to or need to fly to uses only Boeing or MD jets.

Hopefully your welcome is smooth and not as brutal as some new people I've seen in the past. (Hopefully you aren't keen of snow globes, but it is snow globe season Big grin)

Ha I'm saying if you disagree with any poster, agree with any poster, or are neutral you'll get ripped to shreds in the political/religious Non Aviation threads lol. It's a lose-lose-lose!

Sometimes I spend all my time in this section of the website, get all frustrated, then I realize "hey, this is an aviation website, I'm gonna read about planes! Then I'm happy again"  cloudnine   airplane
