Happy New Year!!

Nice pics - I'll try to upload some after I land. Just in the Hong Kong airport - heading to Australia.

I flew to Hong Kong and spent 2 days here. The light show from the buildings is always amazing but they topped it off with fireworks from several buildings synchronized to music.

Cheers!

While on the other hand...

PARIS (AP) — The Interior Ministry says police detained nearly 400 people in France overnight — many of them linked to car-burnings that often accompany New Year's revelry.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2...burning_N.htm?loc=interstitialskip

30,000 security forces on the streets in France. 1,137 cars torched, only 10 cars less than last New Year's torched cars count.

Saint-Sylvestre . Malgré le déploiement de 30 000 policiers, 1 137 épaves ont été recensées, seulement dix de moins que l’an passé.

Illustration in video. How suburban youth in France spent New Year's Eve burning cars and fighting police forces.

As you can read in the comments, this sort of street fighting games will only fuel far-right extemism. One side being just as awful as the other.  Sad
