I'm a huge Patriots fan. I love the hate for Tom Brady from fans around the league for no reason. People say he didn't deserve comeback player of the year award, but the dude had such a devastating knee injury that people say he would never be as good as he was. Fact is, he had the second best passing year of his career, and it was still sub-par to what he could have done. It's been 3 years since Carson Palmer's knee injury and he's still not back up there with the elites. I still think Brady is a great player and i'm looking forward to next season.

People hate the "Golden Boy" inmage which he had had since recently, which consists of the fact that he can do no wrong and has everything going for him. Add in the fact that his head coach is an @$$ rubs off on him for simply being associated with Belichick.

I hate him because I'm a Dolphins fan and as a Dolphins fan it is my duty to hate the other teams in the AFC East and right now I hate Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan and the whole Jets team more than the Pats.  duck

The reason everyone hates asschin Brady?

-How many rules have been created for him?

-He has no class.

-He cheated on and dumped Bridget Moynahan while she was pregnant with his baby.

Want to see a real QB for the ages who's also a standup guy? Look no further than Peyton Manning.

And yet Tom Brady ended up in the same position as the Bengals did - eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Leave Bill Belichick Alone!

Pre-Spygate and Pre-Super Bowl XLII, I had the greatest amount of the respect for Brady, Belichick, and the Patriots. To this day, I believe Bob Craft (Pats owner) runs a class orgnization, and my dad is proud to have done USO work with the New England Patriots back in 2003. Had the Patriots been playing anyone but the Giants in the Super Bowl XLII, I would have been pulling for the 19-0. But since Spygate and Super Bowl XLII, and taking shit from Patriots fans right up to Super Bowl (that they were all whiney and bitchy about when it was thrown back in their face following the Giants victory), I now have a strong disdain for Belichick, Patriots fans, and Tom Brady (for the way Pats fans idolize him and the way he left his pregnant girlfriend).

No one in the NFL has class, besides Tony Dungy. Players are there to win and talk smack. What exactly gave you the reasoning that Brady has no class? Oh I know, because he's good looking and dating a supermodel. That logic is out the door. You want to talk about no class, how about Joey Porter? Talk about the most classless guy in the NFL.

Just an excuse because your team didn't make the postseason.

I'm sure you did. We all saw a team with the worst record in the NFL make the playoffs at 11-5 while we missed it at 11-5 with a backup QB, and half of our starters on Offense and defense on IR. Name any team in the league that can do that? None. Who is Manning's backup?  rotfl

The fact is, people hate Brady for the same reason they hate A-Rod or Jeter. Don't hate the player guys, hate the game  rotfl .

Didn't that already happen this past season? Meanwhile, McNabb, Roethlisberger, Palmer, or Rivers could be at the receiving end of a blatant cheapshot and the refs would pretty much turn their head because it's not Brady or Manning...

Have a look at this video to see how Brady gets tapped and goes down to draw the penalty, while the refs look the other way while Sanchez gets face-masked:

On other QBs this would not be a flag. He barely got touched. But since it's Brady, you know what's coming:

I never liked the New England Patriots nor Tom Brady, though I admit I don't hate them as much as I hate the worst team to even exist on the face of the Earth: the Dallas Cowboys. Yes, I did predict a victory for the Patriots during the Wildcard round, but that simply a realistic choice, because the Ravens were the underdogs.

What pisses me off the most is that the German sports media has become obsessed with the Pats, not because of Tom "Crybaby" Brady and Bill Bellicheat, but because of Sebastian Vollmer, a linesman from Kaarst in Germany. Sure, it's always nice to see a German make a living in a US and/or Canadian sports league (particularly if its the NFL, the NBA or NHL), and I'm sure he's one hell of a linesman, but Jesus Christ they're overhyping him sometimes. Not even the Pittsburgh Steelers (my NFL team) got as much exposure in Germany when they won the Superbowl, than the Patriots have gotten throughout the entire 2009 season.

And before anyone accuses me of saying things that only distract from the fact that the Steelers did not make it to the playoffs, I believe the Steelers deserved to NOT go to the playoffs this year. They played like shit and their defence wasn't nearly as good as it was last year.

Quoting FuturePilot16 (Reply 8):

Gee I don't know...how about that entire playoff game against the raiders? Letting actual plows out on to the field? That has never been allowed before. The Tuck rule? The NFL pulled that one out of it's proverbial arse DURING the game. Too bad it had never been used before. Apparently that exact situation had NEVER happened before that game...yet it happens in several games since then.

You can no longer swipe at a QB's legs from the ground with your hands. You now have to actually get UP to tackle a QB if you're on the ground. Why don't we wrap Brady (and the rest of the league's QB's) in bubble wrap while we're at it. They get payed to play the game, and if it happens, get tackled. Injuries happen. All of the best QBs have gotten majorly injured...deal with it.

Quoting FuturePilot16 (Reply 8):
Name any team in the league that can do that? None.

Don't be so sure of your cocky self. Miami caught lightning in a bottle last year, I'll gladly admit it. It's just as possible for Detroit to come out and blow people out of the water next year; their schedule will be easy enough to do so. Miami also wasn't as bad as the 1-15 record they earned, and proved it last year. This year they fell back to earth, and frankly I wasn't surprised. I was hoping for an 8-8 season, and they came close.

Quoting FuturePilot16 (Reply 8):
The fact is, people hate Brady for the same reason they hate A-Rod or Jeter. Don't hate the player guys, hate the game...

No, it's not 'fact'. Not for me. I could care less about Jeter, A-Rod, Barry Bonds, Mark McQuire, Sidney Crosby (just for you Steeler83...). Let me take you on a story... I'm a Detroit Red Wings fan. I bleed winged wheel. The Colorado Avalanche and the Wings had a fierce rivalry in the late 90s/early 2000s. While I hated the Colorado Avalanche...I respected some of their best players. Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, Milan Hejduk. Wing Killers. I couldn't hate them, but I could fear them. Now take the goalie. Patrick Roy. Cocky SOB. I friggin' hated his guts, and absolutely LOVED it every time the Wings beat him. He bitched about every single goal against, blaming the refs, ice, team mates...etc etc.

I feel the same way about Brady.

Why make it so complicated? When I started watching the NFL again, I got completely lost with all the changes that have occured, and I'm sure even those who watched the NFL all of their lives will have gotten lost with those new rules at some point.

Don't hate Brady because refs don't make a call. people act as if he has the ability to control the ref's mind to make those calls.

I'm a proud Baltimorean and Ravens fan. It was karma and our team's talent that are taking us to the next step. I do admire Brady's return from that awful knee injury. But, that is where I draw the line. Brady is perceived by non Pats fans as a whiner and cry baby. Usually, the officials rule in his favor. Remember December 3, 2007? If it were not for that penalty call we'd have been the team that knocked the wind out of New England's sails.
And in our October loss, had our man caught the ball we would have had the "W."
Interesting how the Golden Boy knocked up a famous hottie actress and she had his love child and he wants little or nothing to do with that mistake. New England has had their run, now, let there be some fresh blood, thank you very much.
