For any American over 30, it's probably amazing to realize that it's been 10 years now since Johnny Carson left the Tonight Show. I grew up watching him on The Tonight Show, and while I don't mind Jay or David, they don't compare to Johnny.
What were your favorite characters? Any shows that stand out in your mind?
My favorite characters were "Carnac The Magnificent" and "Floyd R. Turbo, American".

I'm lucky. I still get to see Johnny. I recorded every show for the last two months he was on up through Leno's first two weeks. Every couple of years I watch them all, one each night. Johnny kept saying on those last shows that he was retiring from the show, not from television. But I haven't seen him on anything since.
