The death of fashion designer Alexander McQueen was just announced on ClassicFM UK news. He was found dead in his home just one week before the London Fashion Week. This is very sad.

Alexander McQueen (CBE) was truly a genius fashion designer. He became world famous when he started working for Givenchy. He will be greatly missed.

On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family.

Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this.

My mum phoned me to tel lme today. This is truly horrid.

I have a little collection of Alexander McQueen items, I absolutely love his work.

I do hope the media will respect his family's wishes and give them their privacy, as I know all too well it's much needed at a time like this

First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

It was very sad news but shows, yet again, that money can't buy you love.

Surely there was a way to cope with the probelms he had rather than taking this rather desparate measure.

I'm not familiar with his work but I know of his popularity around the world.
