Quoting HuffingtonPost.com: Vice President Joe Biden, perhaps overcome with excitement during his speech congratulating President Obama on the passage of health care reform, dropped an F-bomb on live television when he turned to Obama and said, "This is a big f@*!&^$ deal."
The microphone just barely catches it, but listen closely and you'll hear it. This is surely a high point in Biden's long history of verbal gaffes.
UPDATE 12:54 PM The White House must not be too upset about Biden's comment -- Press Secretary Robert Gibbs just tweeted:

Not so much. I couldn't care less if Bush said it, and I don't care if Biden said it. So he used the "f-word". Whoop dee freaking do. Most of us use that word on a daily basis, so, IMHO, anyone claiming that their offended by this is doing so out of political gain.

Never said it was a big story.
Its typical Biden. Love him for it.

Lefties should embrace this. Regardless of where you stand, and even most lefties disagree with some portion of the bill, it is agreeably the largest social legislation since the 60's.

Well it's not quite as crazy as calling a PM's mother dead when she, uh, isn't...but probably not the smartest thing to do when you are the VP. In the public light, you need to watch your actions AND your words.

In his defense:
When he ran for President and when he became VP, he made it clear that he had no intentions of slowing his roll. The best was Obama's reaction to Biden when he swore in administration staff on the first few days of their tenure and he made the Justice Roberts comment. The STFU look on Obama's face was priceless.
With reports now of Al Franken swearing it out with advisors and Rahm next to the oval, I'm surprised the POTUS hasn't been busted swearing on the record yet.

Way to stay on point.
Quoting DXing (Reply 16): And I loved the PM's response:
"A draft of his speech, which was subject to revision, said: "The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 years ago, and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today. Jerusalem is not a settlement. It is our capital."
Shouldn't that be in the Hillary AIPAC thread? Anyhow, I don't know how you can love this claim, since it involves disputed territory and you certainly wouldn't stand for people from a neighboring town declaring their property rights supersede yours. Not to mention it harms American interests every step of the way...
If you need someone to blame / throw a rock in the air / you'll hit someone guilty
Well the topic is Biden and his penchant for saying and doing idiotic stuff isn't it?

Do you know anything about this? Jerusalem was shared by the Arabs and Israel until the Arabs had a plan to attack Israel and were planning on taking it all for themselves. In probably the best military manuever in history Israel invaded early in the morning and destroyed their air force which in effect crippled them. Israel didn't start this and is not declaring anything. They fought a war started by the Arabs and got the job done. Which if Obama doesn't get his head out of his rear end we aree going to see again.

Then it has nothing to do with this particular non-incident.

I don't care if Reagan had said it, it doesn't matter who said it. Personally, I think its a poor image that he is giving himself, very un-professional, but.. It is damn funny!
And to be honest, If I went a day without saying that word, that means I haven't spoken at all that day.
Whoever said you can do anything you set your mind to has obviously never tried to slam a revolving door!!!

I agree. For better or worse, political figures are held to a higher standard, and they are well aware of this. They should be more careful with what they say and do, but clearly some of them are unable to do so.

I like mouthy veeps.
Cheney's "go F yourself" comment on the Senate floor was priceless.
So was Ol' Joe's moment.
Though I must say it doesn't go very far in changing Biden's image of a bumbling old fogey. In fact, his position in this administration seems to fit more with Vice President Garner's assertion that the VP job was "not worth a bucket of warm piss."
