Due to higher than expected demand.

Wow, I guess the recession isn't so bad after all.

Either way they're going to sell like hotcakes, delay or not because it's made by Apple and has an "i" in front of the name.

I'm still not seeing the big "wow" factor of this thing, in all seriousness. It's just a really expensive iPod Touch for people who are apparently blind.

Apple: We would love to deliver, but there's just so much demand.

Sheepeople: Oh, it must be great if there's so much demand, let's order!

The resolution is significantly higher than the iPod Touch. The pixel density is only slightly reduced.

But let's not let facts stand in the way of a diss, I guess?

I wasn't dissing it, I just don't see the point of it. If you want a bigger resolution - hold your iPod Touch closer to your face   But joking aside, if people want to spend up to almost $900 to read a book and not be able to use Flash, then be my guest.

That also increases the pixel count and makes your hands smaller in relation to the device? Ah.

And these newfangled cars – just don't get me started! They don't even find their way home on their own when you're drunk! Utterly useless in comparison to a proper horse-drawn carriage, I tell you!

Me neither. If you have a use for it, good for you. I don't though, and if I did, I would want something that runs Windows anyway.

Do you still have a 19" CRT TV at home, or do you have a 32"+ HD tv? Why not keep the CRT and just sit closer to it?

That'll teach you

I for one am glad the iPad is not encumbered with Flash. It's bloated, buggy, outdated, and unnecessary.

Equally, how many horses could you buy with the money of 1 car? You can buy a crapload of books for $900

And you can also pay someone to carry all of them around for you – for a while, at least...!

If you're lucky, your porter may also be able to provide you with some bearable music, but I would guess both his internet accessing abilities and his gaming support would be even more limited...
