NetFlix Members: Where Do Your Discs Ship From?

I know this may sound stupid but I'm just curious... For all the members here who are members of Netflix, where do your movies ship from? I live in Huntsville, Texas (on I-45 just north of Houston) and I usually get my DVDs from any of 3 locations: Houston, San Antonio or Austin even though Houston is the closest of those cities.
I've been a member of Netflix going on 2 years now and couldn't be happier. Good thing since the only Blockbuster in my town just closed it's doors. Now there's only Hastings and Red Box (Hastings is quite expensive and the Red Boxes here are almost always empty)...

I suspended my membership about a years ago, but when I was a member my disks shipped from Salt Lake to my home in Salt Lake.

I live in Honolulu, and the envelopes do say Honolulu (at least the return envelopes. ) I've had some netflix discs that have shipped from the mainland, but I haven't paid much attention until you brought it up. I'm curious too...

So did I. When I was a member, discs were shipped to me from Birmingham, AL; I live in Athens, AL (near HSV (Huntsville, AL)).

I was always impressed by how the movies would always arrive the next day.

I live in southern Vermont (Dorset) and mine would come from White River Juction, VT, mostly, with Boston, and Albany, NY. at other times.

I live in North Dallas, and my discs come from Coppell, TX which is just north and east of DFW. We recently started watching movies instantly on our Wii and love that feature!


Right now there is an AA MD-80 flying over my house.

Just because your return envelope says San Antonio or Austin, does not mean your discs shipped from there. It would take 2 days for the USPS to deliver them to you in Huntsville if that was the case. I know this will probably not help much, but you can pre-reserve your movie online at the Redbox web site. Checking online beats looking through the selections while standing at the box

When I was a member, living in PHX, it was shipped from/to PHX. Before it used to be SEA when NetFlix was smaller.

It's not uncommon for another nearby Netflix warehouse to provide a DVD if the closest warehouse (Houston in my case) doesn't have it in stock (I don't think every warehouse carries every title in the inventory). In my case the DVD would then come from Austin or San Antonio if Houston is out of stock on a certain title. However when it comes to me returning the DVD, regardless of what the envelope says (in my case Austin, San Antonio or Houston) they are all shipped to Houston since it also says "Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility".
