I'm with T-Mobile and apparently they don't do it (according the the website and contact centre) however when I called up to leave them they suddenly offered me an i-phone for £45 p/m!! Unlimited texts and 1600 free minutes and something about worldwide roaming (sorry but I'm not very technical)....is this a good deal?

And any ideas on what deals are currently being offered (in the UK) would be gratefully received.

I would wait until next month if I were you... the new iPhone HD (4G) is about to be released on June 7th and probably be available in the UK a week or 2 later. Apple apparently have 10million units ready to go with another 10million ordered for the next quarter.
720p resolution screen
64Gb HD
5MP camera with LED flash
front camera for video calls
slimmer design
bigger battery and lower power consumption
multitasking with A8 processor

likely to cost the same as the current iPhone.

Some operators dont ''officially'' but when you threaten to leave they do it. Id take a look at www.vodafone.co.uk there are a whole load of deals around. As below Id wait for the new iPhone HD thats what Im doing.

Roaming is when your phone still works abroad. Oftentimes it will cost an arm to use, however.
