Terrible news!
Really sad to read about this.
I enjoyed Different Strokes as a kid and I almost voted for him when he ran for Governor in the 2003 recall election.

R.I.P. Gary Coleman

Gary Coleman was deeply affected all his life with serious health problems, I believe mainly as to his kidneys, which let to his near-miget size as an adult. IIRC, his parents ripped off a significant amount of the money he got as a child actor. He made some bad moves, and didn't get to become an adult actor as somewhat stereotyped and as to his small size. I hope he didn't suffer in the end. It sucks to die at 42.

Yes, he apparently underwent 2 kidney transplants.

Roughly 2/3's of it, IIRC.

One of the TV eulogies said "Gary did not want to be remember only for his role in "Different Strokes" but his other works as well". I thought, what other works? The video of him as a security guard going nuts? Sadly, he will mostly be remembered as a side show. I hope he had a good time in his short life.

His 'fall' that led to his death could have been related to domestic violence. Him in his wife Shannon Price has a history of domestic violence. That would be horrible if she is responsible for his death.

Who'd have thought Todd Bridges would be the last of the 3 kids still standing?
