Only in Adelaide....geez...what a bunch of morons. Looks like it is a career where rational thought plays no process.

MATTHEW Goodlet's car is missing all four of its wheels, courtesy of a late-night thief, but that didn't stop a parking inspector from repeatedly fining him yesterday for failing to move his immobile Renault.

Wow! That's just wrong.

Is that the jack the thieves used I see under the car, or just an illusion in the photo? You'd think they might want to take that with them.

Hard to believe a parking inspector would do that.

I rarely visit Adelaide CBD for the reasons of parking and I can get wgat I want in the suburbs.

Parking tickets or similar are regular "why did they do that?" occurences. Usually when there's a profit motive.

There was an incident one time in Washington, DC where a parked car got tickets on three separate occasions. The drivers seat was occupied by a man who had been shot to death.

If you remove the wheels from the car, then you can't remove the jack. When you lower the car without the wheels, the weight will never be taken off the jack.

I guess if I ever have my wheels stolen and can't move my vehicle, I'll remove my license plate so the cop won't know which car to write the ticket to.

I read a story a couple months ago that the NYPD was ticketing and towing cars.... unmarked police cars.

Weird.
Or Maybe the cop had given the person adequate time to move the car after the necessary complaint but was not done.If it was soon after then the cops not thinking right.
