I'm planning on buying a PDA with XP, just wanted to know, do PDAs work only with wireless internet connection? or is there a way to get them to connect through a phone jack?

I have a Handspring Visor and is capable of the wireless Internet feature through a module. I've never used it however.

Yes you can use a phone jack to connect. I used to use Visor as my primary PDA, and almost bought springboard cartridge that allows internet access through phone jack for about $30 at Business Depot in California. I think the list price on those units are much higher, so I guess it was the last unit in stock. I just switched to iPaq and am about to ditch my visor with MP3 module. Keep your eyes on eBay for my unit  Big grin.
