Police in southern Russia are investigating allegations of animal cruelty after a donkey was made to parasail as part of an advertising stunt, Russian media report.
The donkey was sent up into the sky last week by entrepreneurs hoping to attract people to their private beach.
Given the number of people who fall foul of these things, it makes you wonder what the poor donkey went through on take-off.

I saw the video yesterday and I have to believe they somehow sped up the footage after release. The donkey shoots off the beach like it is on a bungey cord. Either that or it was a cigarette boat doing the towing.
I see wihere they could end up in jail for 2 years for this stunt. I'm sure they'll have all sorts of yard cred when they explain how they ended up in the big house.

I thought someone was asking advice on how to get their new parasailing company going. My advice would be: Put Bruce Villanch in a thong and tell people that, in order to cover him up, people have to go parasailing! But, this donkey stunt is bad. Almost as bad as Bruce Villanch in a thong.

In Russia they don't care much about human rights, so donkey rights, you can forget about it.
Parasailing is OK if done correctly, but I wouldn't do it in Russia, already what I saw in Tunisia was frightening, they were taking off and landing from the beach with a building meters away, anything goes wrong and you're hurt.
MadameConcorde : this is paragliding, parasailing is with a parachute, towed by a boat.
Personally I'm more into skydiving, and paragliding, where you're in control, not at the mercy of the person driving the boat.
