Ha, I knew it. Another Paris Hilton case where after a short time she was released. Even though sources say she must check in to rehab for the remainder of the sentence, I'm still irked with this. No wonder our society is falling apart. A famous star can check out after two weeks in jail, and yet Joe Average must remain in it for the rest of the sentence...I don't care if there's overcrowding, or good behavior. This just makes stars more confident that they can get away with anything they do.

The average joe would have been released too. Until the states can support more prisons/jails and the staff to man them, most non-violent offenders will get out early in any area with a large population.

The above post is my opinion. Don't like it? Don't read it.

Not really true...prisons/jails are over crowded in this country...any non-violent offender with a light record would have got out early...
So rehab for her will just be going through the motions and then it's back to square 1...

I heard a joke the other day on some station: Linsey wants to start her own 12 step program; the alcohol can only be 12 steps away from where she is at the time

True. Check the rolls of the nearest jails. I don't know how true some of the jail shows are on TV, but it seems they simply detain the drunks until they sober up, then release them with the paperwork for what they were origionally charged with if it was something minor like drunk in public or open container or public urination. DUI and hit-and-run they hold them longer, I would think. I think it may seem like celebs are getting special treatment. Linsey did to a point; she got her own cell. But, as far as getting out early, it has nothing to do with her being a celebrity. It is simply due to overcrowding.

Well heavens, 13 days at the crossbar hotel and 90 days in rehab, what's to keep the tabloid media from going bankrupt?

Okie

From what I read in the Huffpo she is going to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Hospital for rehabilitation, I don't think this is a cushy rehab facility.

I think it's awesome. This chick is only about 2 to 3 binge drinking, coke party smackdowns from her first leading role in a porn flick. The faster they let her back into the Viper Room the better. I'd prefer to see her light up the video screen while she's still in her 20's.

This is why this time of year, we call it the Sommerloch (the summer hole). It comes precisely because in the summer is full of slow news days and the media needs something to report, even if it's about something as unimportant as our favourite drunk Lindsay Lohan leaving prison and going into rehab.

Lindsay Lohan, in a leading role in a porn flick? I don't think even the least respectable porn producer would want her in one of his films.

I read in USA Today a city Alabama? or something was to save hundreds of thousands a year if anyone arrested for a petty offense was released that same day with an ankle monitoring device...
And alot of states are having special days when you turn yourself in if you have a petty/misdemeanor warrant out for your arrest...were you receive "favorable treatment" and chance of incarceration is low...it clears the backlog of warrants..it saves the police and taxpayers time and money...

Funny you should mention that. In an upcoming role, she is supposed to portray Linda Lovelace, the female star of Deep Throat.
