About 20 minutes ago I was standing outside with my neighbour and we noticed a meteorite coming straight at us, we ran and when it hit the roof it blew a hole through her roof. Luckily, it was the over hang, another one tore through her awning seconds later and chipped the asphalt. Believe me, this was the last thing that you would expect when standing outside.
The down side for me though is........it's too dark out and I never got to find the stupid meteorite!!....Darn

Well considering that if it were dropped from only 100m above your house it would be doing 44m/s by the time it hit, I'm thinking your're making this up.
It would be going too fast and would be too small for you to see it, unless you were directly looking at it.

If this really did happen, it would be making INTERNATIONAL news.
This is so rare it would be all over the place. And if you coudln't find the meteorite, they're worth so much that all your neigbhours and their cousins would be out there looking for it...

To make up stuff like this ain't my specialty. If you don't believe feel free to say so, but don't tell me I made this up. Besides, it happened in the dark + landed where stones were so the task of finding it is really harder than you think.

Dude, you hit the nail on the head, I WILL never believe this.
You said it tore a hole in her roof? You didn't tell the local news about that?
And on a side note, what've you been smoking? Sounds like some strong stuff.

wow, I had a dream about a HUGE asteriod hitting the earth. I was in DC and it was suppose to hit dead on over NYC and wiped the whole east coast. Pretty scary dream.

It was probably a chunk of my poo that fell from a Boeing 767 that was flying over your place 15 minutes ago. At least I Feel lighter now!
Seriously: If you claim that this happened, at least take a picture of the roof with the hole and show it to Us or the Media! ANd also look for any possible mini craters inside the house.
Expanding my global domination one spotter at a time..

I was driving to work one morning and a meteorite came out of the sky (where else?). It appeared in a sheet of flames and lasted about half a second. It was too far away to find it. The point being, meteorites burn up coming through the atmosphere so if you didn't see flames or even smoke, the Boeing theory is probably correct.
