Surely y'all are going to watch Otto Pylit do his thing?

They are also showing the sequel as a sequel, in other words, right after they show 'Airplane!' it will be followed by 'Airplane II'.

A little conversation over dinner about Airplane! being on AMC tonight:

Me: (to Dad and sister) Airplane! is playing on AMC at 8. Anyone interrupts me during this movie will be on toilet patrol for the next month. (For those who don't roll with my family, anyone who disturbs me while I'm watching a movie or a TV show has to take up scrubbing the toilets, one of my many jobs around the house, for a month. Same goes with interrupting Mom while she's writing.)
Sister: AMC? What is it? (uh oh)
Me: It's a movie channel that plays kickass movies, but that's not important right now. Interrupt me and be forced to scrub toilets, and trust me. I won't make it easy.
Dad: You walked right into that one, Danni (sister).

Do your best R. Lee Ermey / Full Metal Jacket impersonation and say:

I want that head so clean that the Virgin Mary herself would be proud to take a dump.

Danni (sister) interrupted me during the movie, right when Otto is getting 'inflated' by Elaine.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kevin. I shall put it to good use.

Did I miss something? Am I crazy? I watched both last night and the only thing I know I missed was Jacobs explaining how "Last year, we did Europe in 9 days! Then, we went to Bakersfield, then we ended up in Fresno. Fresno? Nobody goes to Fresno anymore!" So, when did Elaine warn Ted about the mountain?

E: The mountain, Ted! Look out for the mountian!
T: Elaine, we are over Iowa.
E: The corn field, Ted! Look out for the corn field!

Why do I remember that so well but I have not seen it?

Get every light you have on that runway. Ok boys lets go take some pictures. "You cant land for another 2 hours or you cant give me a guess for another 2 hours?" "No, I cant land for another two hours, everything this side of the rockies is fogged in, we've got to get through to Chicago." Captian did you have fish or chicken for dinner? Thats right, I had the lazangia. "Give me the hamm, hold the mayo." "I have to concentrate, concentrate, concerntrate, hello, hello, hello, echo, echo, echo."

Such a win. Is it me or do women typically just not understand the humor of Airplane! ? My sister watched it once and barely laughed while my dad and I, both of whom had seen it like 10 times, were dying

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are

Me and my finacee were watching the Sequel (we own the first one), and she didnt get the whole "Iran Air" bus with terrorists, or the lightning in space thing...or the running out of coffee bit...the only thig she DI understand was the young girl saying shes never been with a man before and how she stops after the donkey...    And she didnt understand why Jacobs was so gay in the 2nd movie...even though he was just as silly in the first...

Next trip: SLC-LAX-JFK-LAX-SLC on AA, gotta say goodbye to my beloved 762!
