According to german TV Station N-TV, there are now four fatalities, including two in a neighbouring building that was rocked by an explosion before the shooter ran out of the building and into the hospital. One Policeman is in critical condition according to the report.

I can't believe this happened in Loerrach! My grandparents lived there after leaving the divided Berlin in the '60s. In fact, my grandmother was treated in this very hospital on several occasions! Very strange to see Loerrach, a town where nothing ever happens, on the news!

Tragic.

So... he was unhappy about the care she was receiving at that hospital, so he shot the Dr. and then fatally shot his mother? Euhhh... uhhh...

Naahh... there's nothing at all wrong with that picture! He was perfectly sane!!

Awful indeed... both stories...
