Will there be a global Freak out???

It's better to ask a stupid question during training, rather than make a REALLY stupid mistake later on!

Its not down globally - just some places, may either depend on geographic location or accounts.

Boy, I didn't realize it was such an issue. I've only had maybe 5 minutes of down time total today that I noticed, and I figured it was the corporate network I'm on. Still working for me... although my news feed is quite sparse!

For a good laugh, visit twitter and look at the real-time tweets.

"BREAKING NEWS: Facebook is down. Worker productivity rises. U.S. climbs out of recession. "

"Facebook is down. I hate to be the one to tell you but all your Farmville animals died and your crops burned. Have a nice day. "

"Facebook is down. Nine months from today, many kids will be born"

" It seems Facebook is down and Zuckerberg won't bring it back up unless we promise not to see the movie. "

But the best one is Facebook using a competitor's service to say what is happening. http://twitter.com/facebook

lol

It just means I'll waste my time online elsewhere......

I'm sure there's folks who are freaking out because they've can't play Mafia Wars, Farmville, or Airline Manager (someone may need to check on a few A.nutters who play.....).

This outage has been going on in spurts since yesterday. Throw in the Twitter spam hack attack on Tuesday and it's been a rough week for social networking sites.

Not too bothered really. As much as I use it, I know it'll be back eventually.

I don't get people who freak out and don't know what they should do without it - Facebook hasn't always existed so it shouldn't be a major thing.

Its only the DNS thats down, it seems.

Yes, you will have to log in again because cookies are set by domain, not the resolved IP for the domain.
