Well folks,
I guess you all know this day was in the making. I know I've posted quite a few times on here about my future wife. Well, as of Sunday right around high noon, a justice of the peace pronounced my lady and I as "husband and wife," and then I stepped on some glass, puckered up, and about 130 friends and family members all shouted "mazel tov!" before heading to our beach themed reception.
And now for the slide show:
The first thing I saw the morning of my wedding:
Our ceremony took place at a place called The Mill of Spring Lake Heights. It's an old manufacturing mill in Spring Lake Heights, NJ, and it's just a mile from the ocean. I forget what materials were made at the mill. All I know now is that it has since been converted into a restaurant and banquet venue. There is an outdoor patio that can be used for outdoor weddings, and it's right next to a pond. We'd first heard about this place from a friend of my in-laws. They went to a wedding here, said it was fantastic, and they recommended this place to us. We went here about 2 years ago near the beginning of the planning process, and we fell in love with it immediately.
A swan in the pond:
Fountains:
And now the ceremony
My parents escorted me down the isle. Behind me were the ring bearer and flower girl, followed by the bride and my in-laws. Unfortunately the person taking the pics failed to get one of the bride coming down the isle...
My best man gave an Irish blessing:
Then came the loving cup ceremony, exchange of vows, then the sand ceremony and ring ceremony:
MAZEL TOV!!! You may kiss your bride!
The ceremony was in the Waterview room on the second floor of this venue. It overlooked the scenic pond. Given that it was mid-October, the timing I think was just right for the fall foliage to enhance the scenery.
Our first dance was to Lionel Richie's "3 Times a Lady."
Cut the cake:
Dance the YMCA!
Bouquet and garter toss:
And, when it all was over, we hopped on one of these for a ride up to Sandy Hook and back to a bead and breakfast in Ocean Grove, NJ to kick off the perfect ending to a perfect day!!!
I hope you enjoyed the pics!!

Congratulations!
Whilst I have a hard time believing that anyone just married to such a lovely girl actually has time to post on this board less than 48 hours after the wedding I did enjoyed the pictures.
And I hope you have many, many years of happiness together.

Congrats!!!!!! Many wishes for a happy life together!
Which bed and breakfast? My girlfriend's family has a house in OG, on Pilgrim Pathway, so I've spent some time there. Great little town, with a great ocean front and tons to do!

It's the Majestic Hotel on Main Avenue. It's just 2 doors from the ocean pretty much. We had a lovely view of the ocean from our balcony.

Yup they are. I'll need those later this week and all of next as I go to a very warm and sunny climate, Aruba!

He needs an intervention.

Congratulations Steeler! Even though I favor the Cleveland Browns, all the best to you and your lovely bride. Too bad it wasn't 10-11 though.

Haha! For L-1011. Maybe if I were a Lockheed Martin employee...

Thanks a lot. I have a feeling my wife and I will be together for the rest of our lives...
I can't believe how lucky we were weather wise. The greater New York area got hammered with bad storms on Monday. Watching the Weather Channel, I saw storm footage from Toms River, NJ, which was only minutes from where the wedding took place. Then of course consider all the rain we had the week before! It was all clear from Thursday morning through much of Monday...

Truth be told, I was kind of surprised too. Remember the old days when one (outside of immediate family) didn't hear from the new couple, let alone receive pics until about a week later; and we're talking about 2005 here.

I know you've been talking about her for some time.
It's now official!
Congrats!
I like the Rolls Royce!
Thanks. The ride was actually a Bentley, but they all the same really. I'll have to post some additional pics on here, such as the ones the chauffeur took of us with Brooklyn, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, and the Manhattan skyline along with NCL's Ocean Dawn in the background.

Aw man! lol. I wonder how long it will take before our professional pics are available. They took several of us on the Boardwalk at Asbury Park and when I first saw my bride at the Residence Inn Neptune City...
Well, for the record, tomorrow will be my last day on the net. Until next Friday, I'll be in Aruba enjoying some newlywed bliss in a warm climate!

Quoting Superfly (Reply 12): Dude, shouldn't you be in bed?!?!?!?!
I'm enjoying 2 weeks and a day of paid time off while I enjoy newlywed bliss without a care in the world. Plus, it's only 11:00 where I'm at. Now this time tomorrow night I'll likely be snoozing away at this time. We have a 6:00 am AA flight to MIA where we will make our connection to AUA. I'd like to get to bed around 9. Hell, it will bring be back to the days of marching band in both high school and college where I had to get up for a bus/plane that departed in the wee hours of the morning...
