The Giant beat the Lion 28 to 20. I have no idea how they beat them or what the highlights of the game were because I could not watch the game. My cable company (Cablevison) took FOX off the air because they are in dispute with the owners of FOX.

A big F-#-$-@ YOU to the Chargers today.

Team is garbage.

The Cowboys are now 1-4 after losing to the Vikings. One has to wonder how much longer Phillips will be coach.
Jets almost blew it, but got lucky with a bad play by the center to the QB Orton that led to the Jets getting the turnover.
PHL has another win but a 2 headed monster on it's hand. Who wil be QB next week?
SD lost again.
49rs finally got a win albeit against the Raiders. Guess Singletary stays as coach for another week.
Giants won again - Detroit seems to gone back to their past usual poor play. The DET starting QB got his arm broken. Foruntally I was able to see the game as I live in a Comcast area and besides I have Verizon FIOS.
NE beat BAL, guess that will tighten up the AFC.
PIT seems to be the best AFC team right now. Big Ben had a great day, and PIT's D is just awesome.
GB, the best choice to win the NFC this year is way down, decimated by injuries and lost again today vs. MIA.

Jets won. Wasn't pretty, but getting the W is the important thing, and good teams are supposed to pull out Ws in games that aren't pretty. Jets are 5-1 going into their bye week, and would be 6-0 if they hadn't played the first game with their heads up their asses. Can't ask for much more than that.

Jaguars play the Titans tomorrow. Is 4-2 too much to ask for from the Jaguars? Probably, but one can hope. I won't be watching anyway, though - ALCS takes priority.

Heaven forbid we are just going to have to go to Norman and break the barnacles off Switzer and send him back to Dallas to show them Cowboys how to get to the Super Bowl again.

Okie

Titans can win tomorrow. Texans won the best game of the week. The Cowboys suck.

J Garrett will lose his job before Phillips the Puppet will. Thanks again for the blow by blow of the entire NFL this week.

Where the hell is Phil?

Today's game, almost down to the letter, was a repeat of the Jet's playoff game 9 months ago. Lucky TDs on the oppositions part, more bad luck by the Chargers (Keading slipping today, Revis INT back in January), some all-star player performing a 180 and sucking (Kaeding in January and the whole offensive line today), then one great drive by the Chargers that makes it a game again with about 2-3 mins left. Today and on January 17th, all the defense had to do was stop them. And both games, they couldn't, and it resulted in a 3-point loss.

And the irony? I guarantee the Chargers beat the Patriots. Somehow, someway, something happens this week and they get their shit together. If nothing else, being at home will tremendously help. Maybe the Chargers could go 16-0 if they never had to leave Qualcomm!

The pats came back in the 4th quarter and OT to beat a pretty good Ravens team, especially with that defense. I'm surprise our defense didn't break. Good job to that young D

Miami won a good game but my god they never make it easy, although they beat a good Packers team today and have the benefit this season going to the cold cities early instead of in December.

He will be there for this season.

He needs to go but he is Jerry Jones's yes man which is hurting the team, Jones needs to get a guy like Bill Cowher and give him complete control if they ever want a chance at getting to the super bowl.

I'm convinced that the Bears coaching staff watches How I met Your Mother when they review game film. Mike Martz gets us 200+ yards on the ground last week and decides when Cutler comes back we must pass more. Jay Cutler phones in every performance with good reason, our left and right tackles are non-existent. I was happy to see Devin Hester look like a pro bowl returner (He wasn't catching punts at the 5 and running backwards for a change). The defense was tired, quick slants killed us again on 3rd down. What also killed the Bears on 3rd down, play calling.

Which was on a link to the right of the Dennis Green rant on youtube. I'd watched Mora's rant immediately after looking up the Green rant!

BTW, to the thread topic.
My team is the Steelers. Would have liked to see the Ben-run O score into the 40s, but after the loss to the Brownies last year am perfectly happy with the W.

For the last several years it's been hard to be a Phins Phan. Miami has a knack for letting other teams keep the games close. As a fan it can be hard to watch sometimes.

J'Marcus Webb isn't cutting it. Of course, Olsen is completely uninterested in blocking anyone.

Peanut had a tough day, and I think that the Tim Jennings/Zach Bowman/Corey Graham thing is over. (How many mediocre players show up, make a nice play, get more responsibility and then we all realize they suck?) And other than that, it's the same game we've all seen before: the defense holds out as long as they can, but collapses under the weight of a lopsided time of possession split.

Quoting N6238P (Reply 14):
What also killed the Bears on 3rd down, play calling.

First, the offensive line has repeatedly proven that they can't earn the yards the Bears really need. And secondly, if there is a third and short, you can be sure that as soon as they get to the line, Frank Omiyale's fat ass is going to jump and it becomes a third and long.

Guarantee?(LOL) That reminds of last week,1090am's Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton's "guarantee" bet against his banker, who is a Raiders fan.Hamilton was forced to wear a Raiders jersey. He went blastic on his monday morning radio show. That was sad.For the Chargers to lose to that Raider team is a mortal sin.

Well, nobody else in the AFC West wants to win. So,maybe there still a chance to recover.

Well I meant guarantee in a cynical way. We always have some totally embarrassing loss and then come back and beat a team we shouldn't. It happens usually at least once a year for the Chargers, so I'm anticipating it will be this game.

My Texans had a big comeback in the forth quarter to beat the Chiefs. Now 4-2, but still a little weary since we have the worst defense in football. Really, really need to make a move before the trade deadline. Now that Demico Ryans is gone for the season, the defense can only get worse.
