I love the photos most of all. I do not get to see the things I see on this site, in real life. The nearest annual air show is a four hour drive away.
The aviation forums are a great source of aviation news as well as some insider perspective. If anything significant happens in aviation, chances are someone will have a post on it in the forums.

The people...the regular, fun posters (Superfly, ANCFlyer back in the day, etc. etc.) who just make reading the posts, especially non-av, a lot more fun.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW FORUM MODERATOR
I really enjoy the photos. I love to read about what is going on in the industry as well. Its nice to actually read about the different airlines and hear things from people who are actually involved with the airlines. Not just some crappy journalism. Plus the interaction with people is just awesome.

I agree totally with the above posters.
First thing I do in the morning after checking my emails is head to A.net. I truly love this site and have met a few members in person, like the Amazing Superfly and consider them friends for life. I do miss hearing from ANCFlyer and Zvezda though!

Sure, the photos and the non-av forum members are great, but honestly, the most useful part about this website is that I can come here with ANY question regarding aviation, and it will be answered quickly and effectively. The convenience just can't be beat. I started out here in 2002 simply looking at photos, and over the 8 years, I have learned an incredible amount about airplane manufacturers, airports, airlines, air traffic control, powerplant, airframe, avionics, the list just goes on and on.

Its a great one-stop for anything aviation. You can look at photos of long gone airlines. If you have questions about anything aviation, there are a lot of great people who answer them very quickly. I like the different forums for different topics.

Knowing that there is an a.net member, or someone who knows an a.net member, everywhere in the world at any given time...by that I mean, somebody knows a person on a flight of "interest" or is actually on it themselves.

The photos are what got me hooked. But I think just being on a site that is so international is awesome. People from just about every place in the world are on here and we all talk about a shared passion aviation! Its just such a cool network if you think about it. Also always learning new things every day.

The company of other people who share similar interests that you're able to talk about without sounding strange. Also the trip reports forum and looking at awesome adventures of others.

Firstly the photos.
The aviation news, if something happens in the world of aviation then someone will start a thread.
Non aviation used to be good; but I have made a few good friends from the discussions we have had in the past.
So I come here for the photos and I check on the latest aviation news.

Reading the Aviation forum that is full of armchair aviator's who have no clue what they are talking about is about all I look forward to on this site. Always makes for a good laugh.
