So at 7am this morning, I was lying in bed half-awake, half-asleep, and I was listening to the sound of my cat, Ridley, eating her food atop the dresser across the room from my bed. All of a sudden, she stopped eating and leaped down to the floor, where she begun to immediately vomit. She stopped vomiting suddenly, and made a very urgent hacking and coughing sound I'd never heard from her before, and began to pace around the room. Eerily, it almost sounded as if she were crying, so I turned on the light, and raced to her side, she had a long line of drool emitting from her mouth, so I pressed very gently against her stomach, almost as if lifting her up, and she spit something out.
Sounds stopped, vomiting ended, and I petted her for awhile, then went back to bed. Almost as immediately as I hit the mattress, she jumped on to it right after, purring so loudly the windows were rattling. Having a cat purr at 130 decibles right in your ear at 7am, and the feeling of knowing you are now a hero to an 11yr old cat with issues, and knowing it means you will not be able to sleep for the remainder of the morning? PURE BLISS.

Adam;
While I was just reading your story, my cat, Bootsie was sitting on my lap, reading along with me. I know, I know, everyone thinks cats can't read; but Bootsie can ! When I come home with the groceries, Bootsie watches every single thing that I take out of the bags; he ignores everything, until I take out the canned cat food ! Then he goes nuts ! Same with the stuff in plastic "pouches"............if it says "dog food", he ignores it ! But cat food.........he goes nuts !
I've had Bootsie for 15 years now; he is very "attached" to me; during the winter months, he always crawls under the feather comforter and curls up right beside me; when he needs "out" to go into the bathroom, he usually goes out the bottom of the bed..............a few days ago, it was about 11:00 AM, and we were both "sleeping in" as usual, when all of a sudden he heard something, and he headed out "the top".........which took him right over my head, and as he "launched" to get to the floor, his back feet were on my upper lip and just beside my eye ! I had 8 small holes in my face, all bleeding: when he came back in, he saw the blood, and I know he realized that he had done it; he started "meowing" to apologize, and trying to lick my face to help ! I swear, if a grizzly bear ever tried to attack me, Bootsie would attack the bear !

Thanks for sharing Charley! That is an amazing story of within itself.
Amazing, isn't it? The powers that lay within the mind and soul of animals, that we are as of yet still unable to detect?
