Quoting connies4ever (Reply 3): They don't call it "Charm City" for nothing. Baltimore was the backdrop for the TV series "Homicide: Life on the Street", which I've always thought was the best procedural police series ever.
Ever seen "The Wire"? A great police drama portrayed in Baltimore, aka "Bodymore, Murdaland".

Was reading about a requirement that Baltimore has that forces its cops to carry their guns pretty much 24/7, even if they plan on drinking, going into a bar, etc. Most departments forbid their officers from carrying their weapons if they are planning on drinking, but Baltimore requires it. Don't think copious amounts of alcohol and firearms are the best combination in the world.
