Has anyone used adsense before?

I have just installed adsense to my blog and was wondering how many hits or page impressions I must get before I start to see some earnings. I have just started my blog and so far I have got 23 hits and 41 impressions. I am guessing I need numbers in the thousands before I start to see some $$$?

pretty much, last month my website received 5,000 views and generated 3 clicks, for a total of $0.32. I wont be retiring any time soon!

However your click through rate is heavily dependent on what type of site you run - my website is aimed at aviation enthusiasts, yet the ads tend to be for cheap flights, and therefore dont attract many clicks. If the website audience was more general travellers then the click rate would go right up.

Thanks for the reply. But my blog is basically a collaboration of 4 friends of mine writing up articles about sport. 5000 seems a lot! I wonder if we customize our adverts on the website to attract more hits. Btw what's the address to your blog?

I just had a look at our stats. Using blogger and on it says today's earnings is $0. But the detailed stats says the blog got 52 page impressions, 1 click, 1.92% CRT, 14.50 ecpm and $0.75 cents. How does one decipher these stats? And also does it mean we made 75 cents?

Really confused atm

I thought of getting into Internet Marketing via blogs and Adsense. I stepped back as it seems like a lot of work and many hours spent for very little financial return.

How about creating applications instead. They are the trend nowadays and I bet they can be good money. Only I have no or very little knowledge about apps. Create a genius app, sell it... and you're rich!!! Anyone want to help??

There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde

52 pages were viewed, of which during one view, someone clicked on an ad, giving a Click Through Rate (CRT) of 1.92%, which equates to an effective cost per thousand impressions (ecpm) of $14.50. But you only got 52 impressions and one click, and therefore made $0.75.

Google now owes you $0.75, but they dont pay out until you hit $100, so you may be waiting a while until the cheque arrives.

I believe a very central aspect of adsense's TOS is that you do NOT share any such information with anybody, or else. At least that's how it used to be.
