I've seen several friends do that. I report the profile and mark it as a fake person.
My friends wonder why all the profiles keep getting deleted except for one (which I never reported). Apparently reporting works!

That's harsh - do you also go around telling kids that there is no Santa Claus/Easter Bunny ?

I'm facebook friends with a few cats and a hamster. I really don't see any problem with it, it's actually pretty fun with some of the wall discussions that happen.

Last I checked, kids of the Santa Claus and Easter Bunny age don't have facebook accounts.
What's so harsh about removing junk and spam from Facebook? Facebook is for people. Your pet is not a person, despite how hard you try to convince yourself.
I'm sure there are sites dedicated to social networking for your dog, cat, rat, hamster, octopus, snake, bird, or monkey, but Facebook is not one.

One of my exes created a FB page for her ferret. That might be worse than this dog page, which I've seen before, sadly.

Our dog has one, which my girlfriend thought was cute. I personally think it's the most pathetic idea known to man, but it's a bit of fun. They don't use it and they don't post from it so I don't have to see the stuff on my wall. Suits me down to the ground.
