After having tried all sorts of phones, including the iPhone 3G, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire, Nokia N8, etc., I've decided to give WP7 a shot.
I wanted to try something new, and this phone has gotten some good reviews as far as I can see.
They are very cheap on eBay at the moment.
I am very excited to start using it! Does anyone else have experience with WP7, and if so, what do you think?

Good choice. Out of all the WP7 handsets released so far the Omnia7 is probably the nicest (mostly because it's the most like the Zune HD) unfortunately it doesn't look like it'll be released in the states anytime soon. I've been waiting a few months now for Verizon to launch a WP7 device at all and it appears the HTC Trophy is finally releasing this week so hopefully I'll have that very soon.

Let us know how it performs for you. Samsung have come along way since they brought out their first smartphones. Nokia have a fight on their hands as they have lost the market share and their N8 was a real problem . Was at a Nokia roadshow today with work and I got to use the new E7. Its ok for a mid range smartphone but nothing compared to its rivals.

I received it a few hours ago, and I am very very happy about the phone. It does everything extremely smoothly. Despite it not having a larger processor than my old HTC Desire (or so it seems), it just feels so much faster. This is my first Samsung mobil phone, and I am very impressed with the quality of the display. SAMOLED for the win.
WP7 is a very smooth OS, but TBH, if I was the designer, I probably would have made the home screen a little more exciting than it is. Still it gets everything done very fast and efficient.
My girlfriend is getting a bit angry, now because she thinks I have gotten addicted to the phone.
My only (and perhaps major complaint) is the fact that the Windows Marketplace is still closed for everyone not living in the US, UK, Germany, and a few other major countries until next fall, which means I can only download free apps or altertively, if I know someone in the US or if I have an American credit card myself, I would be able to fool the system into thinking that I live in the US.
I'd recommend it to anyone interested in trying out a new OS. I can't wait to show it to my friends tomorrow. There is absolutely nothing wrong with iOS, which in some ways is still a market leader, but I was getting bored with my iPhone after two years.

Did yours have the NoDo (copy & paste) update out of the box or did you update it right away? I know some Samsung devices were having firmware issues that were preventing the update from being applied.
Haha.. too little too late.. she already forced me to put it away and watch some tv with her
Quoting OA260 (Reply 7): Im also looking forward to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
That is also one sexy phone. I haven't tried it, but it looks very sleek.

That is actually a tough one. I can't get it to copy anything when tapping some text on webpages no matter how much I try. But, it says that there are no updates available.
On a sidenote; I know this is purely subjective, but honestly think the Omnia 7 is better looking than any iPhone model ever made. My gf has the iPhone 4, and she is looking a little envious. However, she thinks the Omnia 7 is a little too big for her. It is actually quite a bit bigger than the iPhone 4, due to the screen size. It is still pretty thin.
