Hey Guys,
So here is the deal, I've been working on an exciting web project with my tech co founder for over a month now. We both have our own skills and were supposed to complement each other. I built the wireframes to reflect my idea and vision and delivered them over to him for production. He was supposed to deliver a working prototype about 3 weeks ago.
For the last 2 weeks I have been chasing him constantly, all the time he gets back to me after a couple of days with some bogus excuse (my ssh connection not working perfectly.. prototype is done I will upload it tonight etc etc...)
Yesterday he finally gives me the url where I can "access" the demo.. The only features available are login and a simple registration form.. When I ask him why I do not see anything else, he just tells me that it's weird, all the features should be there but he'll look into it. I didnt want to confront him but from from the source file there, I dont see anything else that should be there. I consulted with a good friend who is a project manager at a web development agency, he looked at it and confirmed that there are no errors, the features are simply not built in.
Now what should I do with him, he's very personable and I have no doubt he has the skills needed to write the code. But this is just a waste of time, if he does not have time to take on this project, he should just tell instead of being flakey.
What do you guys think?
(If you are a serious and reliable techie and might be interested in possibly taking over the project, let me know and we can talk)

If it walks like a duck...get another partner..with references. Life is too short for this kind of crap.

You're right, time wasters are such a drag. I had high expectations from this guy considering that he is an MIT grad who runs his own (small) web development company, but since my last message nothing has changed even though I have spoken to him everyday about it and asking for updated, and even offered to find someone to help him (to which he said that he doesn't need any help at this time). Now why wouldn't he come clean and just say that he's swamped with other projects and unfortunately doesn't have time for this one (instead of just wasting my time) I'm giving up on this guy
