Hey everyone,
I'm thinking of places to go to for my next vacation. I'm sick of the vacations that you just lay around in the sun. I like places that have a lot of historic and other interesting sites. It would be great if you guys and gals could help me out. Any ideas? Thanks

Todd

Washington is of course great for history...as well as Boston...and New York...Heck, even New Orleans is good for some history and a little partying  Big grin

Definately DC... great place to go to see historic stuff, plus there is just a ton of stuff to do and see. Also worth your time would be a side trip to Charlottesville to see Monticello (definately very interesting) and maybe Williamsburg as well.

Go to Alaska. It's different... Definitely not a lay in the sun type of place.  Smile There are a few historic/cultural sites here, as well as great scenery. Plus NW and CO are having fare wars to/from ANC, so to/from NYC area is $323 RT if you can get down there for a decent price.

Try Niagara Falls, lots of history there for around USD$5.

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!
