I just saw this movie, finally, in "Version Originale" (thats what they call movies in France that aren't dubbed) and I thought it was great! Big grin
Ben Stiller was hilarious as usual...and it was weird to see Gwyneth Paltrow in such a different role. The story was pretty weird, funny too.
What do you guys think?

Haha, yeah, I saw it too. I agree, Ben Stiller and Gwyneth Paltrow were great. I do give Gene Hackman credit though. I loved it. Do you know if Gwyneth Paltrow ever smiled in that movie? I heard somebody say she did once, but I don't think it was even once.

Leaftseat, do they still have the ushers that escort you to your seat, or have movie theaters become more American? When I was in Toulouse in 1997, we had to buy specific seats, have an usher accompany us, and then they sold the candy on trays in the theater. I think I saw Armageddon avec sub titres.

 Big thumbs up

I've been to plenty "American style" theatres in Paris.

Terrific movie, I loved it. I think the first like 15 minutes where he describes the family is one of the best cinematic moments of all time.

There is the Gaumont/Wilson theatre chain, which is supposed to be "American Style" even though their popcorn is stale everyday...
