I enjoyed the movie, I knew it was based on a real life tragic event but didn't know what it was so I wasn't sure what the bad event was until I saw the movie.
The crash scene near the beginning was pretty good and got my attention for the rest of the movie.
Don't do any reading about it until you have seen the movie and then go and read about the real life facts later.
Some reviewers say it reminded them of the X Files, so if you like that show maybe it will be worth seeing.

The gentleman who the Richard Gere character is based upon, was on Coast to Coast A.M. with Art Bell several months back (around the time the movie came out).

Sounded pretty "X-File-ish" on the radio that evening, and quite creepy.

Try this: Go to Blockbuster and RENT it. If it's great, buy a copy. If you hate it, you can't blame us for making you waste your money buying it. So we all win, right? Personally, I haven't seen it, but I'll rent it on Pay per View later this month. I'm mildly interested in it at least.

I thought it was pretty good, not necessarily something I would buy though. I agree with Fordlover though, rent it, if you like it, buy it...

Tom
