I used to really like cars - never more than aviation - anyway I haven't really read a car magazine in two years but I live in LA, which is seems to be [foreign] car central, so here goes what I remember...
1. BMW 5 series, the new 530i kicks ass
2. Saab 9-5
3. Audi A6, TT and A8 (but I think thats over 60k)
4. Jaguar XJ (I think they start at 59k, maybe)
5. Saab 9-3 convertible, c'mon for the sun...
I'd be happy with any of those, I just can't think of anything right now, a friend of mine's mom has a new Porsche Carrer or 911 or whatever it is, that is really nice but I'm sure that is a fortune!
~N960AS...but I'd rather ride/fly? around in a MD80!

I like most of the lists which are shown above, but I like another car we in the states (and Europe) don't get to have...
...Holden VX Commodore SS.
It's like an Impala SS, only better, and you can buy it for just shy of $23,000.00 loaded up ($AUD$45,290.00).
Try a modern, well-conceived sedan, lots of content, good size, a 'Vette v8, 6-speed tranny.
It rocks.
Like the evolutionists say, things develop a little bit differently in Australia!

Mercedes S430 - BUT: the problem is, you can“t get that one with a manual gear shift nor as estate model. So anotheer good choice would be the biggest estate with manual shift: E280T

RE: Classic707
Cool!
It's amazing we like the same cars and same jets.
The 707 is one of my favorite jets of all time.
My 1977 Lincoln Town Car has 4 turbine styled aluminum rims like the 4 turbines on a 707 of 747.
The brochure used the 747 comparison.
