I get REALL REALLY REALLY pissed off when people start making up a load of horsehit about my country and the poeple who live in it......especially young dumb know-it-all arrogant English people like Dan Hamer (EGGD).

"The Irish did it, but they were too stupid to fly out to South Korea, so they torched their own cars instead."

Where the F**k did you get that information. That NEVER EVER happens and why the f**k would we have a reason to do it ay? Ehhh...... hello I live here. We are the most jolly and good natured fans out there unlike the load of English Yobbos that weren't allowed travel. The one's who trash every city they go to.
Why the hell did we get the FIFA good spirit award 3 years ago.........

Let me clear something up:

Contrary to popular belief We are not a nation of drunken leprachauns who dance with hats around pub tables singing diddly music

To KROC and 777236ER - Can I just say you two are even more stupid to beliveve him and twice as arrogant to reply with that load of horseshit.
I'm fed up with people dishing out this kinda crap about us Irish.......
Ever bother actually coming here and seeing what we are really like?

Its about time someone stood up and defended oursleves. We are not a nation of backward violent assholes, like a lot of ARROGANT people think we are.

WAKE UP and SMELL THE COFFEE............

One more thing Dan, just to prove how much you have your facts twisted.......Ireland are in JAPAN..........NOT South Korea

Get a life.......

I have a feeling it's this attitude that leads soccer fan, especially Irish soccer fan, to riot.

Aer Lingus, calm down dude. If you didn't notice (and it appears you didn't) we were, um, JOKING. Stop taking things so seriously.

Yeah, Aer Lingus, McRing with fries raises a good point. All it takes is for you to be drunk while being this angry and I think you'd get pretty violent, wouldn't you?

We are not a nation of backward violent assholes, like a lot of ARROGANT people think we are.

All I can say is thank god most of the Irish aren't like you.

lol, hi there. After having some 'sour' meetings with Irish fans, I have seen what they do, we have a large population of irish people living here, and they completely make a mockery out of us English fans, who are considered violent. I don't know much about Ireland, but thats the way it is here.

I think my comment was completely out of line, but I seriously don't think its that necassary to make a huge deal out of it, people take the piss out of english fans constantly, but I could really care less, and if you hadn't noticed I didn't single you out as a hooligan or whatever, and I didn't notice you getting involved in any riots along the streets of ireland. To be honest I'm getting quite sick of hearing it on british TV all the time about violence in (Northern)Ireland.

I would have thought as an irishman you could take it in more of a humurous nature, obviously not enough whiskey does strange things to the mind  Nuts

So Dan, after meeting SOME Irish you lump us all into one category..as a riotous, "stupid" (to use your words) nation of people.

At least when I was referring to the violent English, i specifiically said "English Yobbos" knowing that not everyone is as violent as them.

Aer Lingus, I think you are still taking things too seriously. Why don't you go flip a car or something. Get the anger out. Just make sure it's not your own car!!!

Lol, I woulda thought you would have been more clever than to think I meant everyone in Ireland is a soccer hooligan. If you did I'm kind of worried  Wow!

Im 1/4 irish so this topic is of interest.

You can blame the southern irish for the flighting and conflicts between north and southern ireland. i personally believe northern ireland should be given to southern ireland.

I am not aware of irish football holignism, english yet (we are renound for it!)

Landsdown road 96...remember? - and your english dan? and you make comments bout irish holiganism?

LGW

Landsdowne Road, 96? I don't have much recollection of that... and I'm well aware that english are hooligans; We are more famous for it than anyone else, and I'm pretty sure quite alot in the past I've taken the piss out of england for doing it as well.

And FYI I am Dutch, not english, but that doesn't really matter much anyway.

Contrary to popular belief We are not a nation of drunken leprachauns who dance with hats around pub tables singing diddly music

that was bloody funny!

btw. I don't really need a life (apart from my horrific post count), but I really think you should take one comment much less seriously on an internet forum, because for a start it wasn't even serious, for a second I can't even remember saying it (which means I was probably drunk), and lastly It was one thing, so its not a huge dealy is it? Everyone on this forum is not against the irish, by any means.

KROC is right you know, we should all just chill.

sorry i said "You can blame the southern irish for the flighting and conflicts between north and southern ireland. i personally believe northern ireland should be given to southern ireland. " i meant to say along the lines of

"blame can be shared between southern and northern irelnad for the flighting and conflicts between north and southern ireland. i personally believe northern ireland should be given to southern ireland."

mcring ring you say "Aer Lingus, I think you are still taking things too seriously. Why don't you go flip a car or something. Get the anger out. Just make sure it's not your own car!!!"

well, martin is a good friend so that is harsh and uncalled for, but id just like to say, as youre american, a steryotypical view for you seeing as you like them so much and agree with them.

why dont you go and put ya feet up, eat a few hundred mc donalds whilst watching jerry springer. if you are peckish between your meals at 12.00 and 12.10 why not pop to ya kitchen, open your HUGE FAT american stlye fridge and have a few hundred snickers?

then watch countless hours of pointless speaches from your brain of america mr gerorge dubyaa bush. - americans only care about torrism and fighting if it directly invloves them if its ouside usa then we forget it - nice guys!

and america invites terroism because of their view and actions, you want pictures of explosions and fire? well , i think we all know where we can get thos dont we

LGW

And btw I think the Americans get taken the piss out of, and are looked down to more, than any other country so its not like Ireland is being singled out, in fact I insult alot of countries. hhhmm, maybe it'll get me killed some day.
