The world of football, and the principality of Wales have lost a hugely talented football player, and a promising young manager, who had recently made a fantastic start on turning the fortunes of the Welsh football team around.

RIP indeed...
What a tragedy.
Wonder where the Welsh squad goes from here?
"Nothing ever happens here, " I said. "I just wait."

He never played for my team, I'm not Welsh, but I'm gutted the world of footbal has lost him. Always thought he was a superb player and was turning into a superb manager.

Awful news. It makes you wonder about the stresses that managers are placed under; all the more poignant with Robbie Savage having spoke to him yesterday and his appearance on Football Focus where there was no indication of anything wrong.

A Leeds United legend gone to join John, Billy and The Don.
Leeds fans sang his name for 11 minutes from the 11th minute in the Nottingham Forest - Leeds game last night.
I remember his early games in the days when I had a season ticket; I felt sick to the bottom of my stomach when I heard the news. The emotion shown over the last few days are a true measure of the man that he was.

I know nothing about this guy, not being a football fan, but I find it incredibly sad that he must have had, what he considered, un-surmountable problems.
When you think he was successful, good-looking, healthy, fantastic house, (what looks like) a nice wife and two healthy kids and to leave all that just now before Christmas it is all just too sad.
I saw his spot on Football Focus. I thought be looked very troubled.
I hope he has found himself in a better place.
and with that..cabin crew, seats for landing please.
