What is everyone paying for Internet access on a per month basis? Please note what currency you are dealing in.
I pay $44.95 CDN ($30 USD) per month for high speed DSL modem using phone line. It is fast (average 960 Kbps downstream and 120 Kbps upstream) and allows you to still use the phone. This is unlimited access and includes USB modem rental)
I'm not crazy about the price but I've heard users in Europe pay quite a bit more. Is this true?
The modem was a self install kit with filters for all the phone outlets.

According to my latest phone bill (Deutsche Telekom/T-Online) it´s as follows:
€ 9.99: DSL connection (including ISDN/DSL splitter and ethernet modem)
€ 25.00: unlimited internet access 24/7
(Each including 16% VAT.)
Access speed is 768kbit downstream, 128kbit upstream.
The modem was originally thought to be rented, but due to changes in their DSL business model they donated the modems to their existing users. So It´s officially mine now.

I pay my ISP - Worldonline - R130 p/m - that's about US$13 for a regular telephone connection. It's a bit slow, but I've learned to live with it. The telephone service provider also offers a special fee for internet junkies like me. I can stay online after 7pm for 12 hours for the equivalent of about 70 US cents and the same money covers an entire weekend from 7pm on a Friday evening through to 7am on a Monday morning.

I pay $50 USD/month for Comcast Cable Service.
Much faster than before (phone line). And with my wireless (Airport) hook-up, all three computers can be online at the same time and as a bonus, they are all networked through AppleTalk (I didn't expect that).

I have RCNChicago and I pay $39.95 for my Internet cable service and another $25 or so for cable TV service. It's part of a pckaged deal. RCN has tolerable download speeds but their customer service sucks!

I'm with Bell sympatico highspeed too. I'm paying $43CDN a month (tax inc.)
Advertised speed is 960/128, but i'm getting close to 2.4Mbps down and 320 up. One reason for the speed could be that they gave me an old business account modem (Alcatel ones) which should be capped at around 2.5 mbps instead of the 1.5 on residential modems. I'm fine with it, and I won't likely change to Rogers since everyone else in my area complaints of occational outages, and slow speed. Plus I'm actually using 3 separate computers hooked up to LAN and web via a normal switch, something you can not do with Rogers because they only allow 2 IPs. Only reason I might even consider switching would be the digital TV+Internet bundles that are a little cheaper then separate.

I cough up $40 a month for Time Warner's Road Runner (Cable Modem) here in Western NY. I have had no complaints, free install including card needed. Also, the couple of minor problems I had, TW RR service had them taken care of in no time.

I pay SEK295/month (about $30) for my broadband connection (in Stockholm,Sweden),
and I can be online 24/7 if I want to...
I'm not sure about the speed for this one, but my brother works professionally with computers and stuff, and he told me that I've got the highest speed he even heard about so far, so I think it's FAST...
(He also told me that it's unfair that I've got this fast connection just for my joy and pleasure, while he's forced to use some "narrowband", modem-type connection for his working business...)
