A very early call for troll of the year.

Should Penn/Pedo State play in the 2012 NCAA D-I season, I would certainly hope that they are mocked relentlessly in the same fashion as they were here. I think the idiot students at Penn State deserve such ridicule for supporting a coach who swept kid-touching under the rug like a $1000 bribe for a WR to commit to PSU. People have said, "These are young people, they don't understand." Yes, they do. They are adults. What sort of man would ever not support going to the cops when they heard a kid getting raped in a shower?

Hysterical!

I'm glad that Peterno got his, he was pure garbage yet they treated him like a king. So much for Paterno having the squeaky clean image.

First of all, the NCAA and the sponsor of this bowl game should not have allowed PSU to be in it to penalize any and all coaches and school officials for their action or inaction as to the alleged child sexual rape and assaults by former coach Sandusky. I also suspect an investigation of those involved with the 'pedobear' stunt by local law enforcement officials.

I wouldn't be surprised that next season PSU's and any other school's officials will take steps to keep out 'pedobear' or any other unsportsmanlike conduct as to connecting PSU and the child rape scandals involving former coach Sanduaky. Sadly the young men on the team were not involved in these alleged scandals yet will pay an unfair price. I do think the NCAA should sanction PSU, requiring them to fire all top Athletic Dept. Staff and a bowl ban for at least 3 years.

I would also like to see the NCAA put in strict rules as to behavior of school and athletic department officials, as well as educational programs for them and all student-participants as to sexual behaviors. There should be zero tolerance as to sexual assault, strict rules as to minors in and around school facilities to prevent any sexual assault as well as mandating turning in any offenders to local police forces. I would also like to see an age limit for coaches of 70 years old, caps on all compensation to all coaches to that of school executives - no more 'million dollar' coaches at a time when millions of college students are facing life long debt for college costs.

For what, exactly? They had every right to be at that game, and they had every right to ridicule PSU for keeping quiet on the subject to protect "heroes." They weren't wearing anything that could remotely be considered indecent, so I fail to see what laws might have been broken. Furthermore, the guy who did it is a lawyer, so I imagine he knew what he was doing.

Cheers,
Cameron

There are the people who grew up with the internet and have used it long before Facebook was born. And then, there are others...

To those "others", a cool fluffy pedobear suit sends a strong message.

To be fair, if Sandusky had worked at Walmart or elsewhere, he would have likely found it more difficult to set up a charity with which to farm victims.

This story seems to get worse all of the time. And there have been stories sneaking out about how things really work in Happy Valley and how much pull and control the PSU football program has.

Given that law enforcement dropped the ball discovering the sexual assault of young boys, they are now in "cover your a%%" mode. What if that pedobear went on to molest young boys. Bureaucrats have to think how it will look in the papers when a pedobear molests boys, cops did nothing, and then the people can ask: "why didn't you investigate the guy in the pedobear outfit."

I would find it quite hard to believe that someone who decided to dress as Pedobear to mock Penn State's scandal would be a pedophile himself. The man who dressed in the costume is a lawyer. You're reaching.

For what? Being creative? Making all of us laugh about a scandal that makes anyone with a sense of decency shudder? Give me a break. Are you a Pedo State grad?

Agree 100%. My fear is that Sandusky will simply put a gun to his head and end it the day before his trial. The guy is like 65 years old and he has nothing to lose. It should've been a $1,000,000 cash bond, but that's how perverse and inbred State College is.

Cops have to be careful about creating a vignette that will look so stupid they will lose their jobs due to social media / E! news outrage... maybe has nothing to do with reality

Pray tell, what laws may have been broken? Or do we just label them as "terrorists" and ship them off indefinitely without trial?

It's hardly limited to PSU. Every single D-1 and the vast majority of D-2 schools are controlled by their athletic departments.

It's funny how the entire site can be on a collective high from something as funny as the pedobear incident, and go to the lowest of lows when we found out one of our members, his girlfriend, and a high profile Dallas lawyer died in a car accident early yesterday morning.

The world is a fickle place, and life is very fragile.

The NCAA would likely be sued out of existence in your scenario - on second thought you may be on to somehting. The young men on the team have nothing to do with the on-going criminal case and should not have their Penn State varsity experience penalized so arbitrarily.

I agree that many college football coaches are paid excessive amounts, not sure what this has to do with the current scandal. Million dollar coaches are a by-product of the reach of the sports marketing, betting and media empires.

Money talks b.s. walks. If it means $$$ it's easily swept under the rug. Some of these Pedo Staters will probably say, the boys put out signals and were asking for it. You know being involved in the sports programs and showering nude in a lockeroom.

See my above sentiments regarding they were asking for it

I hope they all are Republican or vote for one of those jokers. I will then get that last laugh in. Let's ask I wanna be the next POTUS holier than though Rick Santorum a PA native and former Senator from the keystone state. What would be Pedo State's reaction if Pu Bear or coach Hey diddle diddle Jerry S. came out and wanted to marry one of those men who were boys on the turf of the Nittany Lion's sacred land their stadium? Hey, but there are no fetus's muddying up these waters so, they'll rationalize those victims were asking for it!

I'm a die-hard Republican, but I could never support Rick Santorum (or Ron Paul), for your information. I'm conflicted on right-to-marriage and abortions these days. However, Santorum is a nut on both issues and has been an ardent expansionist on government. I think you will see as years progress, there will be a more supportive GOP electorate on gay marriage, I'm not so sure about abortion. Other than that, your post was quite muddled and not understandable.
