Yes, I just traded in my old 2010 Honda Civic Ex at my local Penske Honda dealer for a brand new 2012 Honda Civic EX. What an amazing beautiful car, I love the MID display, all the nice cool features. I wasnt expecting a trade in, I went to the dealer for a warranty service repair, and I noticed that they had a limited time offer for the "Vehicle Exchange Program with Benefits." So I took advantage, no down payment, only a $2 increase in my monthly lease payments, for 3 years lease, and the dealer and American Honda Finance paid a total down of about $1,500 themselves for me, how cool is that   I feel so blessed by the Almighty and Most Merciful, you gotta check it out. Everyone's loving it. Check out this youtube link.

I never thought I would get one so soon, and oh one more thing, my auto insurance also went down $10/month, whoohaaaaaa yea baby!

I interested to see what Honda dose for next next Accord. I hope they do not down size it, because the sedan became full size with the current model, so I hope they keep making it larger.

Congrats, sounds like you got a good deal, however its likely due Honda is having a challenge with the 2012 models.

The 2012 Civic's sales have been weak compared to peers due to many of the changes which people have perceived as negatives plus it did not help then Consumer Reports removed the model from its recommend buy list.

To help right the ship, Honda is supposedly rushing another model redesign, for late 2012 rollout.

Congrats! I wish you many years of happy and safe driving!!!

I love my 2007 Civic Hybrid, and they wanted me to come in and get a new one, but I will admit, the 2012 is too similar to my 2007. 2012 was supposed to be the big new re-design, and the body shape is very much the same (yes, the tail lights are much different), the cockpit has some improvements but is actually quite similar, and overall the 2012 just seemed like a mid-design tweak than a complete re-design. If I'm going to buy a new car after this many years, I at least want it to look really different, much like when I upgraded from my 2001 Civic to the 2007 HCH.

My ex-husband actually just bought a 2012 Civic. It is very nice, I was just hoping for more change than what they rolled out. I'll keep on truckin' with my current car and when the time comes in another 2 years or so to start looking, hopefully there will be something really cool on the showroom floor for me.

I do hope they make it lighter not necessarily smaller. And, I hope the new design is a radical departure from this generation. In my opinion this is by far the Fugliest incarnation of this venerable nameplate. The side window look is now dated an imitation of early Altima's and Maxima's. And that big ass chrome grill is also not a looker. However they are better than the metal mouth Acura's! I've seen some sketch prototypes of the next generation Accord. If this holds, the Accord will have made a 180 degree turn in the right direction from ugly hippo to sleek and modern clean lines. There are no side vent panels in the rear side window and much less of the "brace face" that has adorned the Accord since this generation began with the 2008 models. This is one instance where the 2006 and 2007 Accords beat the pants at least looks wise off the 2008-2012 Fugly Accords!

This generatic Civic is a let down looks wise. At least the 4 door is starting to get away from the mid 1990's jellybean shape that was the 1996 Taurus. Consumer Reports for the first time has NOT reccomended the Civic. Suposedly according to C.U. this car devolved and lost a lot of it's fun to drive peppiness, handeling aplomb and the materieals are cheapened at least to keep the price down. The Civc has lost ground to Hyundai and other makes. BTW, the "2013" is not a new design/generation but just the mid cycle freshening/updates 1 to 2 years earlier. I hope Honda has learned it's lesson that you can't take for granted that the public will buy them like hotcakes. I hope they improve the looks, and especially restore some of the sporty and compliant handeling that made Honda what it is today. BTW, both Honda and Toyota have been getting away from what made both of them the benchmarks of the Auto industry. Quality, handeling, fun to drive and design. Seems like both are trying to devolve into white bread Buicks with touchy power brakes, sloppy pedestrian handeling and mediocrity. Hopefully both won't follow the foibles of Chrysler and GM!

BTW to the thread starter: Enjoy your new wheels; may you and your new car have a safe and happy relationship.

Honda has already previewed what the 2013 Accord Coupe will look like at the Detroit Auto Show. According to the articles I have read and pictures I have seen, it does not look that much different from the current Accord. Although the fog lights do look way too big and uglyIt also says that the wheelbase is shorter and overall length is also shorter.

By the way, it should be noted that Honda is fast-tracking the mid-model change (MMC) on the current Honda Civic sedan/coupe (North American model) to correct a number of faults noted by reviewers.

Here's my guess on what we'll get when the MMC arrives probably February-March 2013 as a 2014 model:

1. Minor changes to the nose and tailights.
2. A totally revised front dash with better quality materials.
3. Suspension changes to improve handling without sacrificing ride quality.
4. All-new drivetrain using a new 1.8-liter I-4 based on Honda's Earth Dreams Technology for better fuel economy and a new metal-belt CVT automatic to replace the aging five-speed automatic.

It's a shame the next generation Accord is going to look like the very FUGLY current generation Accords.
This generation Accord especially the tubby 4 door looks like a Pygmy hippo on wheels and would be a natural for those pimped out spinning oversized see through rims. Honda should fire their stylists. It's time for a change. And it's almost sinful what they did with Acura styling. We are in the dark ages of Japanese auto styling at least with Honda, Toyota, Nissan and to a lesser extent Subaru.

Sounds like Honda's desperate to move Civics. It's quite stunning that Consumer Reports no longer recommends the Civic because it didn't score highly enough in their tests to be recommended. We had a 1997 Civic EX sedan that was the best small car sold in America at the time...it's a shame how Honda's taken their eye off the ball.

Now the new NSX concept? Holy smokes that car is gorgeous.

The 2012 is getting a refreshed exterior and that's about it. They just unveiled the all new 2013 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit (google it, I can't link to this site). Quite honestly it is not a very exciting looking car. The front reminds me of an older TSX (the European Accord I believe?) mixed with the front end of a 2012 Camry. Sure seems like Honda has grown kind of complacent in the wake of their legendary reliability and solid sales, while every other automaker from Chrysler to Hyundai provide equally (if not more) stylish alternatives, a far cry from 5 years ago.

My favorite is probably the 2001-2005 body style. I own a 1998 sedan and love it. Looks way better than the stuff coming out of the factory today, IMHO.

So true. The new gaudy chrome Acura grille is hideous.

I love the handling of my little Civic. I'm lucky to have one from the last generation before the switch to the MacPherson strut. The double-wishbone design has disappeared from so many cars nowadays because of the value people have placed on price rather than handling.

Here is a photo of the 2013 Accord concept coupe. Looks pretty close to the current generation but a bit streamlined. I hope the 4 door has a drastic change. The current one is FUGLY.

And, I just found a concept photo of the 2013 4 door. This design is a radical improvement over the 2008-2012 Hippo.

And here is another coupe concept which I really like!

That is clearly a old drawing, Honda doesn't use that grille design anymore, the real car will look nothing like that. It looks like someone's fantasy design for the 2008 Accord (based on the filename). Honda's "concept" cars are thinly veiled versions of their production cars, so imagine the coupe concept stretched with 2 more doors, smaller wheels, no tint or bodykit, and a little less bling and you got the production sedan version.

They should have ran with those 2 designs for 2008. Instead they imitated the Nissan Maxima which in my opinion is anything but exciting looking. The Nissan Altima has been a pimped out my ride for almost 10 years. Short on looks, long on appeal for the Eminem, P Diddy crowd. And sadly Honda especially their up market Accura division is a second place wannabe to pander to this segment of the car driving/buying population.
