Quoting MrChips (Reply 4): Black Stig. Either that, or the Stigs on the Stig farm.
Oh yes Black Stig, I remember when they launched him off the Aircraft Carrier. Haha and yeah the different coloured Stigs were hilarious, especially the pink one!
Quoting zckls04 (Reply 5): I loved Italian Stig. You forgot one other though- Stig's Vegetarian Cousin, Janet Stig-Porter (in the episode where they make an electric car).
I don't actually remember that Stig, i'll have to watch the episode. Was it funny?

I loved that episode. Eagle-i-thrust-geoff might not be one their better known creations, but the episode as a whole was great as usual.
I'm partial to Baby Stig in a manger from the Christmas Special

Quoting Pyrex (Reply 8): Probably Italian Stig - it really was amazing. Stigs on the farm were cool too.
Yeah Italian Stig was brilliant, I hope he will be in more episodes! Haha which Stig did you think was best from the farm? I loved the Pink Stig skipping round in circles.

Quoting Stabilator (Reply 14): Hmmm I assume you guys are talking about a different Top Gear? The American show is awful.
If there is a different version (the funny one by the sound of it), can anyone point in a direction as to where I could view some episodes?
Top Gear UK, trust me it is one of the best shows ever! I am not sure were you can watch full episodes but TG UK have a YouTube channel with loads of clips so thats a good start.
Ah brilliant! A quick netflix search has yielded me with the U.K version. Picked a random episode (one drove to Monte Carlo from the studio in an Aston, the others could only use a train) and I LOVED it! The hosts had me laughing start to finish! I'm so happy I came across this thread. They even had an apache helo in it! A show that can combine fast cars and aviation...I'm in man heaven!

I loved the one that was trying to write a novel, a low-blow (but funny as heck) jab at the old Stig.

Uh oh... now you have done it. Prepare to say goodbye to the next 4 weeks of your life.

Can't wait for those! May have seen the typhoon clip on YouTube...or perhaps it was discussed here.
Seriously, I blame this thread for my apparent anti-social behavior this weekend.
I had a dream about an Aston Martin DB9 last night...I'm not complaining! The show hosts are also VERY funny!

You must watch the specials. They where the first to drive to the North Pole; the Polar Special... There is also the excellent Bolivia Special... there are several others.
The truth is, the whole show is worth watching... every episode.
The 747 will always be the TRUE queen of the skies!

I love this show. Absolutely hysterical and I love when they take pot shots at foreign car makers. Just watched an episode where they had to find crummy old SUVs and drive them through the amazon (or somewhere similar. they were delivered on a barge) and ended up on the coast somewhere after attempting to descend a massive sand dune.
If only all television could be this entertaining!

Ahh yes the Bolivian special, one of my favs by far! I like how Jeremey goes POWER!!! through the rainforest etc. Also it was funny when Richard left the handbrake off at the top of the sand dune, bye bye car!
Any idea which episode you are going to go for next? I could reccomend a couple but then again, they are all great!

Ah, yes, the excellent Bolivia Special. One of their best episodes... proves that not all Land Rovers from the 80's break down every five miles.

I actually watched one of the US shows this week. Whilst not up to the standard of the UK version, it wasn't bad. For the record, it was a road trip special from Death Valley to Vegas in 4x4s.
And my favourite race was accross London, to LCY. Clarkson in a boat, May in a car, Hammond on a bicycle, and the Stig on the tube. And the result was not a foregone conclusion...

The Stig was the best, haha was funny on the Underground! Especially also when he just stopped at the top of the escalator.

Thank you! I needed a reason to procrastinate studying for my accounting exam and now I have one!
That has to be my new all-time favorite Top Gear moment, but just barely (Jeremy driving around in a Reliant Robin and it constantly falling on its' side is classic.).
Hello Airplanes? Yeah, it's Blimps. You win, bye....

My favourite Top Gear episodes by far are "Polar Special" and "US Special". One need to possess a certain sense of irony and, particularly if you're American, be able to absorb a fair dose of verbal abuse to truly enjoy it. Above all a total disdain for political correctness and diplomacy is a requirement
Favourite Stig? I'll buck the trend and say the latest (identity unknown) bog standard one; his level of car control is simply amazing.
