Too funny for words!

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/...ge-of-pig-on-police-decals?ps=cprs

Once you know to look for it, it's easy to find:

http://media.npr.org/assets/img/2012/02/03/police_pig_prank_10394775_custom.jpg

If you don't see it, look at the upper-left blob on the cow's shoulder.

Oink, Oink!

Apparently this was put on 30 police cruisers and went unnoticed for four years!

I guess not all criminals are stupid and can't keep a secret...

What are supposed to be those three "objects" standing in front of the cow? E.T.s?

I love the quote from the article:

"It dishonors the memory of those past and present members, especially for those who have lost their lives in the line of duty," state police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro told Reuters.
Nice try Mrs Spokeswoman, Talking Head Evasion Tactics for Dummies, chapter 1: When desperate, bring up some irrelevant emotional bs just to excuse someone's not paying attention enough.
The dishonor to past and present members is your failure to be able to simply laugh at yourselves when something too funny like this happens.

I read the title of this thread and immediately wished this was about Vermont... oh how lucky I was.

Am I really the only one who is unable to comment on a thread about the Vermont state police without bringing up "Super Troopers"?

Read this very carefully, I shall write this only once!

Damn.... nice to see that the powers of "Subliminal Advertising" are still at work! I guess with the amount of time the "cons" have to just sit and think, they're bound to come up with some way to cause grief to officials. But this really is funny and if anyone is so uptight as not to be able to laugh at it, or themselves, they need to get a life.

Sheaves of wheat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Vermont#Symbolism

Quote:
The flag consists of the state's coat of arms and motto on a field of azure. While the pine needle supporters of the coat of arms are represented throughout New England, the pine tree in the middle of the coat of arms represents the Vermont forests. The cow and three sheaves of wheat represent the dairy and agriculture industries. The deer head on top represents Vermont's wildlife. The Green Mountains are in the background as well. The motto, "Freedom and Unity", is also used. The motto balances two different ideals, the freedom of the individual citizen, and the welfare of the common good.

Now that gives a whole new meaninbg to "con artist"   Whoever created that should be paroled instantly. Too bad Ben & Jerry don't own the company any longer, they could create a new ice cream flavor with that cow image, "Trooper's Delight"

Hmm, it seems to be a Rorschach test.

The closest one kind of looks like it has the head of a bear.

If you allow me some artistic freedom, the three bales look pretty phallic!

Oh well, Freud was right!

I think this is great. It is just an existential joke for the inmates. Noone outside would notice this without help. Storm in a teacup.

This is great, as a Vermonter I got a kick out of it. This is acutally a town about 30 miles south of me. I also heard that the cow shadow is of a naked woman....can anyone see that?

of course, she's standing on her left leg and raises both arms, and, indeed, she's quite "pointy".
