These make me so happy.

It wouldn't be the first time that an ultra-right blowhard has been caught... well... blowing hard. But the fact that it's a staunchly anti-immigrant blowhard gets caught blowing an illegal immigrant is a wholly new twist.

I do have to say that he's very hot and I like the tattoos.  http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmem...nt_ex_boyfriend.php?ref=fpnewsfeed

OK, so let's talk about morals for a moment. I used to say that I was amoral, but that's not true. I believe in being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, brave, and clean (I'll leave out "obedient" and "reverent.").

Now, when you get into a relationship, it's pretty immoral to me (untrustworthy, disloyal, discourteous, unkind, and not brave) to publicly decry your relationship or partner for the purposes of gaining political office. It's even less moral to then use threats to keep that partner silent.

And he was the CO-CHAIR of the Romney campaign in Arizona! He was a GOP congressional candidate! He was running for a party that has an anti-gay national platform on his own staunch anti-immigrant political stance! I, for one, am proud of Mr. Jose. He's done a brave thing; it's a pity he got caught up in it.

How many more of these are we going to go through before anyone declaring themselves to be anti-gay is automatically assumed to be gay? Can't be too many more - I'm standing by for Rick Santorum to turn out to have quite a little shameful secret.

I feel sorry for him that the person he was in a relationship with turned out to be such a scumbag. And kudos to him for striking back.

He was never anti-gay. He even admitted to being gay. But he's staunchly in favor of an anti-gay political party.

There has been a persistent rumor in the gay community in Tucson and Phoenix that Sheriff Paul Babeu would occasionally appear at gay bars and bath houses in Phoenix. I never thought it was true - but now......

Apparently the Sheriff like to cruise the gay "hook-up" websites like A4A.... and put on his profile that he was out of the closet - he's a liar and a cheater, too. No wonder his partner had enough of his whoring around crap.

I guess Mitt Romney needs a new Arizona campaign chairman now - I can just imagine what Rick Santorum is going to say about this situation, being the homophobe that he is....

Speaking of irony - the left is so ammoral that they have trouble believing someone might not be. Kind of reminds me when everyone was going around hoping against hope that Tim Tebow would be caught with a dead underage hooker in the trunk of his car.

There, I said. Can't believe I actually had to defend Santorum but there it is. I think I need to go take a shower now.

Because it's so often true, homeslice! I don't have anything wrong with being gay. I have no problem with him schtupping an illegal immigrant. I do have a problem with cheating on a relationship. I have a problem when it's a guy who is publicly speaking out against allowing people to do those things. So yeah, I do have a moral compass and it works quite nicely.

Kinda like how ammoral the Obamas are? How many times have they been married to different people? Or the Clintons? Been in how many gay scandals? Or Pelosi? Ried? It was Biden who was caught foot-tapping at an airport wash room, right?

The reason people start pointing and laughing at the right for doing ammoral things is because the party parades around and shouts as loud as they can that they are the moral and upstanding party. They are the ones who believe in sanctity of marriage (while divorcing their wife on her deathbed) and are against immoral acts like homosexuality (while paying for male prostitutes with their wife's money).

Democrats accept people have different levels of morality. Democrats are realists. Democrats also understand that what goes on behind closed doors between consenting adults is no ones' business. It is the right-wing that wants to expand government into our bedrooms and tell us not to have relations with other consenting adults of the same gender.

Bingo. See, it's one thing when I want to do things my way in my home. If my hubby and I are open and honest and agree on an open relationship, or installing BDSM equipment, or rolling in Jell-O (all hypothetical, you bunch of smart-aleks!) then as long as we agree and everyone is in the loop, there's no issue.

On the other hand, if one partner is sneaking around the other's back, that's really immoral. Morality is about the Golden Rule. It's not about a bunch of pre-set rules. The "Social Conservatives" have a deeply twisted and flawed moral system in which it is OK to do horrible things to other people (like use the legal system to dissolve their marriages, or allow them to be bullied) just because you dislike a behavior that has no effect on you.

I will carefully explain it again: this case is exceptional not because of the gay thing (although that always adds a layer of fun to it when it's a GOP politician, given the GOP's stance on such things), but because he was absolutely staunchly against illegal immigration and illegal immigrants and yet he was busy rolling around in the covers with one of those very same illegal immigrants at home!

Seeking to criminalize a behavior in which you yourself are partaking (even enjoying!) is hypocrisy.

In fact, Newt Gingrich said that the media will eventually get around to Rick Santorum in the South Carolina debate. He said it when he had to defend himself at the begining of the debate when he had to put CNNøs John King in his place.
Rick Santorum is projecting too much of the perfect family man image. He is too stiff.

No no no, it needs to be timed so that it happens after the nomination. If you do it before the nomination, then he's out of the race and Romney wins. Romney seems to be made of Teflon. If you do it after the nomination and Santorum has won, then the GOP has to scramble. The optimal time would be about 4-6 weeks before the general election. No way for the GOP to come up with a new candidate.

If you do it after Romney has won the nomination, then it is still effective in further discrediting the "social conservative" movement.
