Hello all.

Thanks for all your comments in my previous post. We just got back yesterday.

Wish I had another few weeks there. What a stunningly beautiful place, filled with amazing people.

Feel so silly to have worried at all about going there. Already making our plans for our next visit. Still so much left to explore.

One of my best weeks in my 38 years of life.

Now, as Soul II Soul once sang, "Back to life, back to reality"

Thank you Cuba! Can't wait to be with you again.

How does its landscape and beaches compare to Puerto Rico?

Never been to puerto rico, however, I would imagine Cuba is far more pristine and far less developed. It still has the charm of a time long gone. The hotel was sent on 6 hectares of splendidness. The grounds were gorgeous, and when you were outside the hotel travelling, it was mostly virgin tropical forests everywhere. The beach was nothing short of stunningly beautiful!

You will love it when you go in December.

I went to Cuba in 2006. I was originally heading to Lebanon but the war broke out and I had 2 weeks off work .. so booked Cuba. I stayed as Las Brisas Guardalavaca. Absolutely beautiful- beaches, clean water, lush tropical surroundings.
We took a flight to Havana but I didn't particularly like it.. I would go back!

Happy -go- lucky kinda guy!

Glad you had a good trip to Cuba. Would love to go some day, but if I were you, I would go to somewhere else next time. Life is too short to visit the same place twice :P

Sorry, but that strikes me as a somewhat odd comment. Tell me, if you'd been to Los Angeles would you say there is no need ever to visit the USA again and to go somewhere else?

I've been to Cuba over 30 times and every trip, while I always enjoy time in Havana with friends, I travel around and see/experience many other areas of the country.

Good point. Well, I have been to Los Angeles a few times, but then again, I have no plans to visit anytime soon.
