Many, many thanks to you all for this great meeting ! We had to cope with some bad weather unfortunately but I really enjoyed every moment of the week-end. I tried to join the group again on sunday afternoon but with the rain it was obvious that none of you would stay on the viewing terrace, and it was time for me to leave for SXF when I finally met some of you... Anyway, I was very happy to meet a bunch of really great people from this forum, thanks again to you all !

I also arrived home a while ago after my train got hold up at Wolfsburg for 40 minutes due to emergency services on the tracks some place between Wolfsburg and Hannover resp. Lehrte.
Having such a long stop at Wolfsburg is especially ironically, as Deutsche Bahn has quite a history of failing to stop their ICE trains at Wolfsburg with pax having to backtrack from either Hannover or Berlin-Spandau.
Many thanks for the organizers of the get-together on Saturday evening at the Brauhaus MItte. I will post some pictures from that venue later tonight.
The evening left me very tired leading to a late start into Sunday.
Never having been to Berlin before (apart from rushing through), and having watched the rain radar with approaching rain cells, I opted to explore the city's highlights right away rather than heading out to TXL again.
Presumably the only interesting aircraft I missed must have been the MIAT from/to Ulan Bataar (via Moscow); there also was an aircraft scheduled from/to PEK but it was shown as seriously delayed.
Too bad that we were spread across three tables in the evening making cross-table discussions (and meeting new faces) difficult, but, at least from my perspective, the discussions conducted at "my" table were quite interesting and inspiring.
What do I take along from the meeting ?
1. I met some great people.
2. Berlin is worth a number of visits, not just one.
3. Traffic at SXF is more diverse in terms of airlines compared to what can be seen at TXL.
1. I need to return to Berlin to explore the city in more depth.
2. I intend to make a spotting trip dedicated to SXF (and maybe the GAF Museum in Gatow, when coming by car).
Pictures to follow.
Carpe diem ! Life is too short to waste your time ! Keep in mind, that today is the first day of the rest of your life !

1st of all, thanks a lot for the great meet; special thanks to HT for offering the currywurst+drink for the saturday-luncheon !!!
It was time to warm-up too, after a very cold and windy stay at the free terrace
Good to, finally, meet some other guys + Hannah later that afternoon/evening at TXL !!!
(Had a really good flight to RIX on YL-BAH, followed by a very short night at the hotel - in-bed 2330 out-bed 0400, as only possible Baltic-airport transfer from the hotel at 0440 possible; was the only 'guest' on board this bus...no rain at RIX and TLL, but some showers at ARN; flew YL-BBP, ES-ASM and ES-ACB on sunday 03jun12 for those interested).
Hope to meet some or all of you again @ ZRH the end of August; meanwhile, take care and till than !!!
